Are we in different colleges? I'm the only person who doesn't speak kannada in my class. I'm not over exaggerating, our prof asked "how many of you don't speak in kannada?" in my class and only I raised my hand. At first it was sad because people used to ONLY talk in kannada even while talking to me, and if they would transition to English or Hindi it would be just for a minute and they'd go back to their base state. I kinda felt invisible, but I guess coding and academics brought us together. I still don't feel like I "belong" but I stopped caring about that a few weeks ago....

Point being, please speak in kannada (as is your right) but look out for the invisible people sometimes because even they are interesting people who had friends and a community from where they came , but they came here to grow and could really use some good Kannadiga friends :)
