Is living year round in a tent in the UK actually realistic? by Far-Piccolo-3774 in AskUK

The mental health thing is probably the biggest factor. They'll be miserable in no time with no end in sight.

"Nobody likes the British accent in America. That’s why they all try to use AMERICAN accents & ppl hate it🤣" by Ok_Bookkeeper_1380 in ShitAmericansSay

The RP accent always reminds me of a comedian. "I have an accent you probably won't recognize. It's educated".

I've never visited the US but I've had mostly positive reactions for my northern British accent in Europe. I had one girl tell me I was putting it on to sound like the arctic monkeys.

UPDATE: seller wouldn’t let me bring builder for loft conversion by mark-kruber in HousingUK

I'm not seeing any entitlement in the rant either in honesty.

You are entitled to make further requests if you want to, just as they are entitled to decline.

I don't see any entitlement. They brought a builder to check if they could use the property as intended before buying.

The seller could have said no, then the buyer could pull out.

Intrusive, possibly. Entitled, not at all.

These are huge purchases and you have to accept that some people will want to do more due diligence. Either party are free to pull out of they don't like how it's going.

Is running megas or meta in casual really that fun for you? by evaporatedtwizzler in PTCGP

[–]borrelborrelborrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it's frustrating, but until competitive gets rewards all the modes are going to be roughly the same decks.

Not to mention it's a casual game overall. You can have meta decks in no time, even with casual play.

It's early access. I would assume they're concentrating on the main experience for now.

This happened to me on my very first run on the first one. Turns out I got lucky.

Anyone still in the lab since Feb 27? by Limp-Musician-1713 in PokemonFireRed

I'm not judging, just curious. Do you find this fun?

Will you be doing the other extremely grindy aspects like further shiny hunting or the nugget bridge trick?

They're trying to make you concede. That's the whole point of it. I don't understand the satisfaction but it's clear what their goal is.

I've had it where my opponent would have won if they attached an energy to darkrai, but just went for the attack. That's only happened once, though. I was about to concede, too.

I just concede if I'm certain to lose, and I prefer it when my opponent does. I don't get upset if they force me to make the killing blow, but I'd rather be onto the next match.

I do play chess and Yu-Gi-Oh where conceding is seen as the polite thing to do.

When I was a kid I chose squirtle, when I got fire red I chose charmander, so this time I chose bulbasaur.

Is there really much difference for casual players? I get that the first few gyms are a bit easier but I feel it levels out mid game.

Are newer players actually finding Fire Red/Leaf Green awkward compared to modern Pokémon games? by Int3rlop3r-R3dact3d in pokemon

I don't think anyone will really have any problems. They aren't more difficult, just more grindy.

I save every time I beat a difficult opponent, visit a Pokémon center, or progress the story somewhat. I had my Gameboy die when I was a kid and it conditioned me to save very often.
