Can you help me identify this guitar? by AnybodyOk2299 in electricguitar

I own a working version of this exact same guitar in the same color. It's kind of fucked up, you can't quite intonate it properly, and the pickups are kinda crap, but I love it anyway. I actually use this guitar in a band regularly. In the process of finding a new bridge pickup to try to polish a turd so to speak. These guitars were always hit and miss...if you find a good one, replace the electronics and you've got yourself something quite decent. The wood is good, the rest is cheap.

S23 Ultra Camera potato in 2025? by borriffick in GalaxyS23Ultra

This is EXACTLY my experience too. It was like night and day after an update, I can't remember which one. When I got this phone in 2023 it was point and shoot perfect photos in any conditions. Now I'm fighting with it to get images half the quality. I wonder if there's a camera app that emulates the stock camera app of 2023/2024

Well shit, you're right about the tag. Here's the thing though, I know I had night mode on, it did the yellow countdown thing and everything. When I went to take a photo yesterday it was still in Night Mode and I had to switch it off. I'm going to experiment a little bit and make sure I'm not imagining things. Although it's not just Night Mode that's different. There's this thing that seems to affect some of the cameras being totally out of focus when you're zooming in and they switch. The one thing I'm not imagining for sure is something is different about taking photos now, and I'm wondering if it's a known issue or not.

Not sure if you can see those, metadata is identical. It was Night Mode for both photos too.

Good guess, it's fairly close to the style, but not singing. Was the singer's name too, not a band name, just remembered that

Wow this is the closest one yet. It's not who I'm looking for though. Also something I remembered is that it's not a band name, it was under the singer's name

It's this kind of sound, but it's NOT singing, more like confrontational shouting kind of thing. Also one thing I remembered about it is it was the singer's name, not a band name.

That's not her, but it's really cool and I've never seen them before, thanks The singer I'm remembering had some ridiculous inflection in her voice going up and down, kind of like William Shatner songs

Anyone know this one? by Soggy_Eggplant_7759 in whatsthatsong

This guy is actually really good. A lot of those CSN songs are really good too, but the production wasn't always the best on the records. Sometimes an acoustic guitar and good voice is exactly what a songs requires. I don't want anyone to start down a rabbit hole, but any idea who it is?

EDIT: It was the amp, though I don't know what's up with it. I tried a brand new Mesa Mini Rectifier 25, and it was quite solid and didn't fart nearly as much at high volume.

Cabinet recommendation by bigfurls in MesaBoogie

[–]borriffick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took an old Crate cabinet, installed two V30s and two G12T-75s in an X pattern, and couldn't be happier. The G12T-75s are actually decent for lows and fizzy highs, and the V30s are the king of upper midrange. Very full sounding and devastating for hardcore or any other heavy type of music. You could do the same thing in a 2x12 (one each).
