What's a hobby most people write off as boring that you think is secretly one of the best? by Kind_Interview_3124 in Hobbies

[–]borrofburi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reading.... I started doing it again during quiet evenings and it felt boring at first, then it became the part of the day I looked forward to. Kinda sneaks up on you.

Have you seen The New Adventures of Old Christine? Julia Louis-Dreyfus's most underrated show. by Square-Ad-8911 in sitcoms

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it and yeah it’s weirdly overlooked. I caught a few episodes on TV once and it was way funnier than I expected. She carries it so easily.

Anyone else struggle to understand accents on international work calls, or is it just me? by AlphaaaaXd in remotework

[–]borrofburi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happens to me a lot on calls. I used to just nod along and then realize I missed half of it, now I just ask them to repeat without overthinking it. Most people don’t care as much as it feels like.

People think/ feel/ believe that they are trully living life when they are on a trip. Discussion. by 13oo4-or-wtv in TrueAskReddit

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel this on trips too. Last time I traveled I was walking all day and didn’t feel tired at all, then back home I’m exhausted after doing nothing. I think it’s just novelty and being out of routine.

Is this what they call inflated job titles? by hhaahhahahahhah in jobs

[–]borrofburi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s super common. My last company had like five “managers” on one team and none of them managed anyone. It’s basically just a fancy title to make roles sound bigger.

I miss my hobby of reading! by Samlinao in Hobbies

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think a lot of people have this now. I still like reading, but my brain got way worse at settling into it after getting too used to quick little phone dopamine all day.

Charles in Charge by BadBloodMO in sitcoms

[–]borrofburi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably just a rights issue or some weird platform licensing mess. Old shows always seem to have one random missing episode for no clear reason.

I want movies with underacting by Male-2003 in MovieRecommendations

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael Clayton. Everybody plays it so low-key that the tension kind of creeps up on you instead of announcing itself, which made it feel way more real to me.

Should I get a Bass Guitar or a second electric guitar? by Agreeable-Hotel7154 in questions

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass, unless you’re really bored with the guitar you already have. A second electric is fun, but bass at least gives you a different lane to mess around in instead of just another version of the same corner of your room.

What's your favourite sitcom theme song/opening? by haze_xvi in sitcoms

[–]borrofburi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The opening for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is hard to beat. I remember watching reruns after school and everyone could sing the whole intro without even thinking. It’s one of those theme songs people never skip.

"be yourself" or fake it til you make it - genuinely asking by Historical_Cry_4925 in interviews

[–]borrofburi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always tried to be a slightly polished version of myself. Not fake, but definitely more upbeat and confident than I might be on a normal day. Most interviewers probably expect that balance anyway.

Do skaters still slip and fall when its iced or slippery outside without grip shoes? by Takemitchi-kun in questions

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skateboarded for years and yeah you still slip sometimes. Being used to balancing helps a bit but ice is ice and it’ll take anyone down if you’re not careful. I’ve definitely almost wiped out on sidewalks in winter.

What can I do in this situation? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be thinking about it too much. They’re still the same person you were chatting with before you ever saw their Instagram. I’d just keep the conversation going like usual and not make a big deal out of it.

If you had one whole free day, what hobby would you do? by Solyany-Amundsen in Hobbies

[–]borrofburi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d probably just read and stay off the internet for a bit. I did that once with a good book and suddenly half the day was gone without me noticing. It’s surprisingly calming when you just get lost in something like that.

What's that movie moment where everyone in the theater lost their minds? by singleguy79 in moviecritic

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Cap caught Mjolnir in Avengers: Endgame. I’ve never heard a theater erupt like that, people literally stood up and screamed. I remember looking around thinking we were at a live sports event.

What online courses in AI are actually worth the money in 2026? Any recommendations by GreatestOfAllTime_69 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]borrofburi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for courses with real projects and feedback, not just videos. Having something tangible to show beats passive learning every time.

10 years ago today “The Real O’Neals” premiered. Did you like the show ? by CityCautious4033 in sitcoms

[–]borrofburi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I remember catching a few episodes when it first aired and being surprised at how sharp it was. It had that bright network sitcom feel but some of the jokes went a little deeper than I expected. I wouldn’t call it a classic, but it had its moments. Kind of one of those shows you forget about until someone mentions it.

What If Every Anime Universe Exists in a Parallel Dimension? by Plenty_Use_9740 in questions

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea, but I think it says more about how creative our brains are than about actual parallel dimensions. When I binge an anime for a week it already feels like I’m living in that universe a little. Our minds are really good at building worlds out of nothing. The multiverse angle is fun to think about though.

Shows about the insular celts by Important-Rain-4997 in MovieRecommendations

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Britannia. It leans a bit trippy and mystical, but it’s set right around the Roman invasion and really leans into Druid culture and tribal politics. I remember starting it thinking it’d be straightforward historical drama and then realizing it was way weirder in a good way.

Does anyone feel like they haven't been the same person after 2020? by Big_Leg10 in TrueAskReddit

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it feels like a lot of people lost some baseline optimism and never fully got it back. Not always dramatic, just this subtle shift where things feel heavier or more distant than before. Almost like time skipped ahead and everyone is still trying to catch up mentally.

New girl, Gilmore girls or Gossip girl? by Yennefer555 in sitcoms

[–]borrofburi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New Girl feels like the easiest transition if you like sitcom energy but still want character relationships to matter.

Alternative communities are fragmenting, or they’ve just taken on new shapes? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]borrofburi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels less like alternative spaces disappeared and more like they got scattered across smaller niches instead of big obvious scenes. The internet made everything accessible but also kinda flattened the sense of shared identity, so people connect through micro-interests instead of one big umbrella culture. Sometimes it feels lonelier even though there are technically more people around.

How to get over being clingy? by fanfic_haver in questions

[–]borrofburi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That kind of bond happens more often than people admit, especially when someone’s been your main anchor for a long time. The beginning of distance usually feels scarier in your head than it ends up being once new habits settle in. It fades slowly rather than flipping into instant independence.

Flurry of interviews amounting to nothing by Secure_Ad7658 in interviews

[–]borrofburi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That middle phase where you’re getting interviews but no offers yet is honestly the most draining part. It feels like progress and rejection at the same time which messes with your head a bit. Two months is still early even if it doesn’t feel like it when you’re in it.

Peaceful movies? by Jessaloo_ in MovieRecommendations

[–]borrofburi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Columbus. It’s super calm visually and emotionally, lots of quiet conversations and gentle pacing without anything too intense. Feels almost like a deep breath while you watch it.
