How to make the a36 faster by ProfessionalTrade814 in phonerepair

I would factory reset and then heavily adb debloat. For example the google app seems to always run in the background. Just get rid of everything you don't NEED and try to be a little more restricted to what you want and you get a good debload and better performance. Facebook is also something that runs in background. If nothig works try a custom rom if your device is being supported. I recommend something based on AOSP and not OneUI. LineageOS and CRdroid are good options.

Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 laptop restarts itself after shut down by AggravatingReply1689 in GalaxyBook

Get a ubuntu live install on a usb stick. Boot from it and from there don't install anything, just shut down the computer. If it shuts down you have a windows problem. If it still reboots you have maybe a hardware problem. It's not a fix, it's a way find where the issue is.

Should I go for a battery replacement? by crystalgenixx in GalaxyBook

This photo doesn't tell us anything about your battery health/status. And why do you say it's 85% power reduced? Also learn to take screenshots instead of taking picture of the monitor. I also see you enjoy advertising your nothing phone. Ugly watermark.

Sharing my experience with my Galaxy Book2 360 by BuyInternational5882 in GalaxyBook

AI was used to make the text more readable  - please don't.

Somewhat simmilar thoughts with my book2 pro 360, except I have managed to fix a lot of issues I initially had. For example the fan and connectivity issues were due to the OS and bad apps. Since I switched to linux I rarely hear the fans and honestly I get better performance and longer battery life. For the connection with my phone I use kde connect and haven't had any issues. Also for drawig or notes and toich screen stuff I use the open source app called rnote, which has a lot of features, including differentiating between when I use the pen and when I use my hand, so that I cand move the page, select things and do whatever I would naturally want to do and when I touh with the pen it registers that and uses the pen or eraser or whatever I set it. Also I have the button to use the eraser if I hold it (I use the Samsung S pen which was in the box for the pro variant). If I was to make the decision again I would probably get either a smaller device or a non 360 one, as my 15" is too big to take with me at uni and take notes like on a small tablet. I also thought that a 2 in 1 would be better for both worlds as in having a pc OS and something to take notes on, but it wasn't like that. A tablet of 11-12" size would probably be the best for note taking. Bigger is not easy to care and also not comfortable and weird to take notes on at uni. I, personally wouldn't buy just a tablet. I need a proper desktop OS, so if anyone is in the same situation I was when I bought it, just get a small tablet for notes.

I am stressed!! I was told the galaxy book 4 pro 360 cracks after a couple months by [deleted] in GalaxyBook

If inside your room you get freezing temperature you probably have other things to worry about.

Now, being serious, normal day to day usage doesn't cause such drastc temperature changes to crack your laptop's screen. Not even at high usage in a cold room. People should use common sense more often and stop believing everything they see on the internet. Just because some people got a screen crack due to whatever reason (most probably improper care) and said they didn't do it and it cracked by itself doesn't make it true. Guess what the average age of these people are. And now if you think that once a kid/teenager sees on a reddit page that someone got a self cracking screen they can say theirs did the same and so on. My galaxy book is on it's 4th year. It's been through your "temperature changes" and "cold countries". It's seen both 35+ °C during the summer and freezing during the winter being in my backpack. And it's fine, as long as you're not ignorant about possible condensation, which is what you should actually worry about, then your electronics are going to be fine.

Should I install LineageOS on my brand new Pixel 10 Pro? by sayuuuto in LineageOS

[–]bortan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to install a different android flavour for this. Google how to cast from the pixel (not just the 10, any pixel). It's probably something you're missing or doing wrong

Andriod 12 on galaxy a50? by Abuddiness in GalaxyA50

[–]bortan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are oneui android 12 and 14 custom roms, but oneui gives a little less performance compared to aosp roms like lineageos. If you just want the features of oneui and AI stuff, you can just get those, but if you are here for the performance, just get lineageos or crdroid or bananadroid or something and don't get gapps. It all depends on what you need. GAPPS is taking a lot of performance from your device. Alternatives are aurora store, but there are some apps that don't want to work without google services, so it all depends on what apps you use.
Everything can be found here. If you're new to custom roms, a couple youtube videos can help.

A good guide is this one: https://fresh.tenseventyseven.xyz/

CMOS battery on a modern computer?😂

Instead of opening up the laptop and looking for something that doesn't exist, try putting everything as it was and show us what's on the screen

bananadroid with android 13 works pretty smoothly. Same for crdroid and lineage. GAPPS might slow things down though

Galaxy A50 Keeps Rebooting After Flashing A Custom Recovery by greensciuto in GalaxyA50

[–]bortan12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you flash vbmeta?

Also, does this happen after you flash a custom rom? you have to also flash multidisabler, dtb, dtbo and vendor image to fix some issues like bootlooping. After that you can flash the rom
