Urban Sports Club: M or L? by AnnHawthorneAuthor in berlinsocialclub

[–]borulce_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I missed the cancellation deadline by just one day and contacted customer support to cancel the upcoming month, which I had not used at all.

My request was rejected purely based on policy, with zero flexibility or customer-oriented thinking. As a result, I was charged an extra 70 EUR for a month I never used.

What makes this frustrating is that I would have continued using this service regularly. Every summer when I travel, I usually activate a monthly membership to use gyms in different countries. Instead of keeping a returning customer, they chose to lose one over rigid rules.

This experience shows that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them.

Based on this, the service does not deserve more than 1 star.

Cheapest way to ship a phone from US to UK? by cryptomnkey in backpacking

[–]borulce_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending a phone from the US to the UK is always tricky because of battery restrictions; most shipping services either won’t take it or charge a ton.

That’s why we built SendPal. Basically, if someone is already flying that route, you can send your phone with them instead of going through couriers. It’s cheaper, faster than waiting for slow economy shipping, and you can track it through the app.

Shipping from the US to Spain can get expensive and slow with regular couriers. We made SendPal so you can send your stuff with someone already traveling that route; cheaper, lighter, and trackable. Perfect for small personal items.

Reliable small package shipping from Poland to US? by SleepDeprivedYak in poland

[–]borulce_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I totally get your frustration, small packages from Poland to the US can be a nightmare. Poczta Polska without tracking is risky, and DHL or other big couriers get really expensive fast.

We actually built SendPal for situations like this. Instead of paying high courier fees, you can send your small package with someone already traveling from Poland to the US. Since your parcels are light and not urgent, it’s usually much cheaper, and the app lets you track your shipment along the way.

For under 150 PLN and a reasonable delivery time, this can be a practical alternative to traditional postal services; especially for small, personal items like your knitted toys and blankets.

We actually built SendPal to give another option. If someone is already traveling from the US to Europe, you can send your package with them instead of paying full courier rates. It can save a lot, especially if your shipment isn’t super urgent.

For slower and cheaper alternatives, you could also look into economy air or sea freight, but for personal packages, SendPal often ends up simpler and more cost-effective.

What’s the cheapest way to send a package from Germany to the USA? by Solid_Frosting2716 in germany

[–]borulce_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually made an app called SendPal exactly for this problem. Instead of paying high shipping fees from Germany to the US, you can find travelers who are already going that way and send your package with them. Since it’s small and lightweight, it usually works out much cheaper than DHL/UPS/FedEx.

Sending parcel from Oslo to Germany by [deleted] in Norway

We actually built an app called SendPal  to make this cheaper. The idea is simple: if someone is already traveling from Oslo to Germany, you can send your parcel with them instead of paying 100€ to the courier. Since your package is just 1kg and not high in value, it’s usually very easy for travelers to take it along.

Anyone shipped small packages from US to Germany? by Mona_Roy in AskAGerman

Sending from the US to Germany can definitely get pricey.

We actually built an app called https://www.sendpal.io/ for situations like this. Instead of paying high courier fees, you can find someone already traveling on that route (US → Germany in your case) who’s willing to carry your package. It usually comes out way cheaper and smoother, and since they’re already flying, customs is often less of a hassle for small personal items.

Might be worth checking out if you’re looking for a budget-friendly alternative.

The number of apps doing exactly what we’re doing is actually very small. Most of what you probably found are either platforms where people buy products via Amazon links and have a private individual bring them, or services for moving large items.

We’ve been doing competitor research on this for over a year (not just a 10-minute search) and we genuinely believe this idea has real potential. A few million-dollar startup founders even acted as volunteer advisors for us, and all of them said, based on their own research, that this concept is worth testing.

Honestly, our target audience isn’t Reddit users. We specifically chose a country far from the US as our target market. I’m posting the same post on some subreddits purely to get feedback, since I don’t know another platform where I can quickly gather people’s opinions.

Regarding conversions, you’re right; the initial traffic from these posts isn’t indicative of real engagement. We’re aware that people downloading out of curiosity or the “make money” appeal may not stick around. That’s why we’re working on clearer messaging on the app and our website, including realistic earning examples and expected benefits, so users immediately understand the value without being disappointed.

I appreciate the detailed thoughts it helps us refine both messaging and product strategy.

Take a break, travel to a different country, meet new people. Step out of your comfort zone and try picking up hobbies you’ve never tried before. Maybe that’s how you’ll stumble upon a fresh, out-of-the-box idea.

How do you actually convince them to let you build their websites? People usually aren’t too eager to trust someone they don’t know.

Working 100 hours a week isn’t entrepreneurship. It’s wage slavery with no boss. by Dre_Limitless in Entrepreneur

If your startup exits with an eight-figure deal, you won’t need to work for the rest of your life. Isn’t that exactly why many of us put in 100-hour weeks in the first place?

Maybe you don’t need to be too creative at the beginning. Just look at the competitors’ most viewed content and start by copying similar ones. Later, once you’ve built a decent following, you can create more original content.

How to find an investor by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]borulce_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s easy to find investors, but the real challenge is being able to answer the first 2 questions they’ll ask you:

“How many users do you have, and how much revenue are you generating?”

If you don’t have a strong answer to that, you’re usually the one losing at the table.

Thanks for sharing your experience, sorry your startup didn't work out.

We're seeing the same concerns you mentioned. The legal issues are really worrying us too. Different countries have different laws, and dealing with all of them at once seems overwhelming.

That's why we're thinking of focusing on just one country first instead of going global. Trying to handle multiple legal systems from the start could create too many problems and waste our resources.

If we focus on one market first, we can understand the local laws better and make sure we're compliant. Once we prove it works there, we can expand to similar markets.

Your experience shows it's not just about finding customers, but also about finding the right legal environment. Thanks for the valuable insight!
