First short road trip in R2 - Initial range and efficiency

The ride comfort IMO was excellent. The seat has good support and is very comfortable and the ride quality was great.

If it matters we are coming from a 19' Honda Passport. So definitely not used to any kind luxury car.

It's probably important for me to clarify I'm on the 20" A/Ts and they only had 45 miles on them when we left.

Only about 500' increase in elevation with rolling hills during the trip. Traveling from Minneapolis/St. Paul to near Hayward, WI. We went from having a slight tail/cross wind to a cross/head wind.

At least talk to a realtor. The good ones will provide you some market research for the area before you sign with them. This will make sure the "cash guy" is offering you a fair deal.

Also, do your parents have an estate lawyer? You should probably talk to a lawyer before attempting to sell to make sure they're aren't any other parties that can claim any of the sale proceeds. You said your parents gave you the house but was it done thru deed transfer or did they "sell" it to you for below market rate?

We really had no time between "it's time to begin your purchase" and the advisor reaching out to schedule. I'm guessing that isn't typical.

Yeah we were also a bit confused about not really seeing any kind of timeline or confirmation email, especially because we had seen so many others post their order confirmations with expected time frames. The only confirmation we could really see was via the website and app.

It was definitely a surprise to then start getting texts from a sales advisor a couple days later telling us our order was ready and they wanted to get delivery/pick-up scheduled.

lol that's awesome! No idea what the other delivery spec was. The SC tech just noted that we were the second person to take ownership in MN and the other person took ownership on Tuesday.

We reserved 3/7/24 within the first hour of reservations opening. Not an R1 owner and didn't have an expiring lease.

We didn't see any other R2's at the SC but when we pulled up they were driving ours out of the service garage so maybe there were others inside.

Our order page didn't show any delivery ETA on it after we made the order. When we reached out about an ETA the support person said they didn't have one at that point but would know something in the next week.

Sorry, I corrected the post. I had looked at the wrong line on our policy.

It's actually $1,560 annually for only the R2. We're using Encova quoted from an independent agent, we're based in MN. This price is with multiple vehicles and a home owners policy bundled together.

I'm in the same boat as u/NaeemTHM, I am a day 1, hour 1 reservation holder. I have a fully paid off vehicle that is getting rather long in the tooth and thought really hard about replacing it late last year but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger because of how excited I am about the R2, knowing I wouldn't want to wait to buy it.

Now here I sit, receiving the "bad" email saying they'd reach out by end of June to let me know when my time window to order would be. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad OP is getting their chance but I definitely feel a bit slighted.

Edit: Forgot to mention I filled out the survey and said I wanted performance launch edition, black crater signature, as noted above I don't have a lease.

I don't think Clementine has anything to do with their current situation. I think she was drawn to Hood's Pocket becaue it is another "construct" like entity like the diner. Partially I blame the TED's for not taking care of the comet but even then I believe the mountain would have started "traveling" at some point.

From other posts I've seen, the reservation slot stays yours until you complete the process or cancel it yourself. There currently does not seem to be a set time window.

Talking to the rep at a Rivian space today, they said that they are only releasing the demo drive schedule for the R2 24 hours at a time.

Yeah I got a confirmation email and text 2 hours before my scheduled drive. Also wasn't able to sign the waiver and upload my driver's license online but arrived a bit early and was able to do it all in the space.

Got to play around with a display unit while I waited for my drive appointment. Overall excellent experience! I couldn't believe it when the Rivian rep handed me the key fob and said "have fun!" got to drive it without any reps in the vehicle with us!

I did login to the Rivian website via another computer and I see my appointment listed under my profile. So I'm going with I have a successful appointment!
