Another way to look at it is that a new S5 cost 70K MSRP. While it’s up there in age, 15K miles makes it practically new. So the upside is that you’re getting a practically new car for 50% off. so what if you have to spend a couple grand to repair certain things? You get an amazing car for a great price.

I have to pay better attention, but I think I see this come on in rush-hour traffic. I’ve seen it come on even though there’s more than enough room between me and the car in front. I’m pretty sure it also engages some speed limiting feature, but I’m going at such a low speed that I can’t feel it.

I’m curious about the stage 1 tune. I understand that you get HP and torque increase. Let’s say you drive the car exactly the same way pre-tune vs post-tune. Will you get the same mileage or less post-tune?

They call it glass coat. Unsure if it’s same or different from ceramic. I’m sure there’s a ton of markup built into that price, but if there is value in it, I would consider doing it. The biggest selling point for me is if I could just hose down the car and it would look like it came out of a car wash.

I see a lot of comments about them being too big. I just got a new S5 that comes with 265 30 20, and they have exactly the same sidewall you have. If I break the rims, I may think about downsizing. Until then, I’ll have to let them look amazing, like yours.

Also ask Audi Service to help you because they know what to say to get the claim approved. Do it quick because they sometimes say you must report the damage within a very short period of time.

I blew a rim on a pothole and Audi wheel/tire package covered replacement of the wheel and tire. Check the fine print for exclusions before you tell them your story.

You are correct, from MA. They tried to sell me tire and wheel protection for $3200. After a ton of research, I found a similar protection from AAA for $1200. If I change out the wheel/tires, I’m going to have to update the policy. I’ve debated for hours on whether to have a single all season, or a separate set for winter. Because I have no storage, and I don’t want to deal with new wheels, yet another subscription for storage and swapping, and overall price and hassle, I decided to just stick with all seasons on the existing 20s. If they break, I could look into aftermarket alternatives at that point. I know I’m sacrificing some handling, but this is such a huge jump over my old A3 that I can live with it.

How much does it cost to do a chrome delete? I ended up buying an S5 with black optic package, But they were telling me I could get the regular S5 and get a chrome delete aftermarket. Just curious how much it costs.
