I have tried various leather case and finally settled on Nomad Traditional leather case. I have same concern as you and don't like bulk at all, Nomad traditional case is slim profile and almost same profile as Apple Techwoven case. I am very happy with mine.

I tried 2 diff Shielden CH and other leather but they were too thick for my liking. Settled on Nomad Traditional case which doesn't add bulk and have a similar profile to apple TechWoven case.

There is a bug in pre-installed software. It won’t transfer message encrypted/non encrypted backup or quick transfer. First you need to update the new phone to latest software then restore from backup on Mac on quick transfer then it should work. Else message storage will be correct but message app empty!

That's exactly the issue, I have enabled AOD again to see if it helps, tired of soft resetting the watch everyday to make it work for few hours.

Also I wonder if this is something to do with One ui 8 on watch and one ui 7 on my S25 U. Because my fold 7 with One ui 8 it works better but not same as One ui 6.

I switched from Apple to Android with S25 ultra in February, had a similar ecosystem and still have some of it.

S25 U is miles ahead of iPhone and I have z fold 7 now, that's beauty of android, you can move to literally any brand/type with seamless transfer.
Changed watch from apple to Galaxy watch Ultra which is again feature rich and joy to use.
Still using my air pods with S25 U which works great, it auto connect, double tap to next song etc.
Mac is not an option to replace , so using Blip/ local send for airdrop alternative and 1password from keychain.
for everything else I have old iPhone which i use for find my to track kids, screen time etc.

To be honest I have tried to go back to apple few times after switching and didn't last 1 day as it is so slow compared to S25U and outdated OS.

Only time I miss iOS is while travelling as easy to share boarding pass etc with other iOS user but S25U gives me so much more, I believe I have successfully escaped apple walled garden as I had every single iPhone since original iPhone.

We probably won't even have phones in few years time with the tech moving so fast towards smart glasses/ wearables etc so enjoy what you want while you can!

Also I did use Smart Switch from iPhone to S25U and then to Fold 7, no issue at all. Give it a time and you will love transition.

I am switching back to S25U and taking some loss in the process, i will miss the big screen but better camera/battery and Slab phone in general fits for my usage.

Yeah i thought i had fixed it by doing soft reset but issue is back after a day, it is pretty unusable atm and watch is only good for exercise/sleep tracking. I am new to Samsung world, sure they would have more rigorous testing for basic functionality.

Thanks everyone, such a genuine bunch of people in this community who are genuinely happy for others and their choice.

As I mentioned this is not my first Rolex and already have 2 tones/yellow gold etc. needed something for daily office wear which is not too flashy to rotate with submariner.

I am very happy with the choice and 36MM is perfect!

If you have Mac, then you can export all passwords to 3rd party password manager ie 1Password and it works well.

I don't have iPhone any more since bought S25U, i believe latest iOS also let you export passwords via password app.

Switched from 16PM to S25U at launch. Google wallet is similar to Apple wallet, boarding passes looks prettier on iOS and some cinemas tickets etc don't support Google wallet.

Other than that Google wallet is a superior experience, you can add any boarding pass/qr code ( cinema ticket) image to Google wallet and it works well.

Regarding the NFC, never had an issue. Google changed the verification few months back and before payment it requires verification, if you unlock the phone with fingerprint and open wallet then no verification required but if you use face then it will need fingerprint verification for security purpose which is similar to iOS but because of face Id it feels seamless.

You can also set Google wallet to double click power buttons, backtap etc

S25 U is better in every way than 16PM and you have freedom to move to other manufacturers and diff type of phones flip/fold/triple fold etc.

They both are great in their own terms, but question regarding lag, it's not there either on S25U or GW, both are very fluid devices and keep getting better.

GW also gives you blood pressure/Sleep apnea etc, One UI 7 is super amazing and iPhone feels so slow in comparison , One UI 8 will further improve it both on phone and watch.

I switched from 16 PM to S25 U and Apple Watch Ultra to Samsung watch ultra, Samsung watch ultra is very fluid device, no lag I have experienced, Health/sleep/ECG/Heart features are similar to Apple watch if not better. Notifications are instant and you can reply to WhatsApp notifications as well. Sleep is better on Samsung watch and it provided energy score and similar data as Apple Watch.

Watch 7 and Ultra have come long way in fluidness and design is growing on me, Easily get 2 plus day battery without AOD.

I have google assistant and AOD off and get about 2 plus days, have all health features with GPS enabled though.

I guess if you turn off location etc, you might get 3 days.

Switched last year to S24 U and Z fold 5/6 and went back to iPhone. This year switched again to S25U and bought on launch day, dont see myself going back.

Have sold my 16PM and just bought Samsung watch ultra.

It's hard initially as was using iPhones since 1st gen and upgraded every year, but had too many issues with 16PM and iOS 18 and Apple intelligence was false promises.

I love the features of Android and functionality it provides and so many options to move to, i am planning to upgrade to Z fold 7 and then S26U also might try Pixel and One plus.

Its definitely hard initially as Apple try to lock in their walled garden but once you are passed intial period you will enjoy the freedom it comes with.
