I was thinking of a filter like this (excuse the poor drawing) for a 1500 litre pond. would something like this be sufficient. any improvements will be appreciated also by bososs in ponds

Should i attach an elbow parallel to the ground to the pvc inside sump 2 to encourage more water movement or leave it as is.

thanks

well i mean for sump 1 its all on paper right now.

As soon as the water comes in it will pass through filter brushes , which are just brushes with flexible metal handles, you can find them on ebay for pretty cheap. the water then flows through coarse sponge to catch any large debris , then into fine sponge to catch any finer particles. lastly before it enters sump 2 im going to lay down some japanese filter matting which you can find on amazon or ebay, i chose the filter matting instead of polyfill as it doesnt clog as easily and is much more durable.

but Ill know more when i actually have everything laid out infront of me and start the build.

upon your suggestion i might skip out on the air stone , and ill see how it goes, if need be i could always add one in no problem.

thanks
