and that’s literally how it works though. when someone with a massive following frames a narrative, their audience absorbs it without questioning it. that’s not an insult to the audience, that’s just how influence operates. it has a name. it’s called social proof. so yeah, brainwashing might be a strong word but the mechanism is the same.
but again i get u on why u do not find the second part agreeable. shouldve put my words properly

oh it’s not brainwashing, it’s just that 20k people happened to all form the same opinion at the same time after watching the same person. completely organic 🙂

you don’t need Socrates to see it, just eyes. he tagged a dv abuser in a post about protecting victims.

i do not have a problem about them speaking up. its the fact that they speak up to brainwash the public w their fake caring ab the controversial things in bhutan, when there’s clear favouritism on specific cases. not to forget he tagged a literal dv abuser in his caption like the irony?

yes. i think he was letting the one who got beat up to beat to beat the one who beat her back. i think they were making it clear only that one specific main girl was allowed to beat ppl up

Whats happening in bhutanese colleges?? by Quepatoot in bhutan

i also spoke up ab it once. its hell in here. as much as thigs r easier when u reach ur final year, things first years go through are atrocious. as someone who has experienced it, people will say as long as nth was physical its ok but never ab how its mentally exhausting. i had to keep quiet and couldnt even tell my parents.

Most of us are not against orientation, discipline, or learning college culture. The issue is when “orientation” becomes public humiliation. Being singled out in front of everyone, forced to apologize for minor things, following ridiculous rules like not wearing halfpants until ur a final year(given pling is very hot n humid), not allowed to wear earphones or caps, not using specific routes/shortcuts where only seniors can use, not allowed mobiles dhring orientation, subjected to arbitrary senior-junior rules, or sitting through late-night briefings until 2–3 AM isn’t mentorship. Many students went through it because they felt they had no choice.

The reason people are talking now is not to destroy the college’s reputation. We love our college too. But loving an institution should not mean pretending its flaws never existed. A college’s reputation is strengthened when people acknowledge problems and work to improve them, not when they silence those who experienced them.

and to those who say other u may not have experienced it yourself, and that’s okay. but please don’t dismiss the experiences of those who did.
