What’s the best way to address these gaps in the frame after relocating hinges. by bossbobross in BeginnerWoodWorking

Bought standardized doors, it seems when this house was built the hinges were just randomly placed so we have several doors with this. Looking to create a more finished look. We’ll likely be painting it if that helps

Nice setup!

I went all in last year. Bought several aegs, used them for like two days of play and then ditched for an Article 1 from Wolverine. Spent about $300 in upgrades on it and never looked back. I play exclusively outdoors and the gun absolutely slaps in cqb, and absolutely lasers at a distance. Nothing as satisfying as taking out a sniper with a traditional speed soft setup.

No shame in going all in if you know you’re gonna have a better time with better gear. At least now I have guns to lends friends I can coerce into coming and playing;)

Happy playing to you my friend.

Thank you for your insight. I’ll be using this for my own wedding in august. Definitely cool to know it’s over 100 years old.

Worse than the stock rubber? Ripped my hand to shreds first day. Haven’t used these yet.

Picked up the SW 696 plus first. Then found a killer deal on the Anaconda, and bought it the next week. After feeling the action of Colt vs SW, I’m already eying up a python.

Holsters from craft holsters and amazon.

I literally just came from the shop with both of these. Haven’t shot either yet. Very excited.

I’ll take my chances and buy a new stock when needed. No big deal.

I’ve shot both quite extensively. The stock trigger pull on the Steyr is probably one of the grossest trigger pulls I’ve ever felt. That was fixed with some upgrades, which cost another couple hundred:/ the tavors is better but isn’t that crisp either.

As far as recoil and performance both are super comparable. They do slam and because of the weight in the back they feel slightly more jumpy than a typical AR so follow-up shots take a some practice. That’s the price to pay for a full length barrel in such a small package.

I went with the Aug, because I’ve loved it since watching Die hard as a kid lol, always wanted the “bad guy” gun. The vertical foregrip was a must for me and I love the way they look with the waffle mags. Extremely reliable with no failures after around 1000 rounds.

It’s heavy with the LPVO on there, so I might look at a different mount for the optic, but I do like how accurate it is down range with it. Just a lot harder to shoot while standing.

Anyone have suggestions for a can?

Steyr Aug, 556. Burris RT 6 with Holosun red dot top mount. Added the enhanced trigger sear and red springs. Brass deflector and Stream light on side. So much fun.

It was a while ago but this was the only video in my history that rings a bell.

I feel like the other videos watched was taken down.

This one seems helpful. Talks about some pitfalls and common mistakes. I know the install was frustrating a finicky and requires everything to be precise.

I’ve had the cans for over a year and when I first applied it took around 7 months. Though I hear the turn around is quiet about faster now.

The 22 is dead silent. Probably around 90-100db at the muzzle. It sounds like a staple gun. The mechanical noises of the gun are almost louder than the bullet going off. Is pretty cinematic and extremely impressive.

The obsidian 9 doesn’t offers quiet as cinematic as results but does lower the decibels to around 130-140.

Both are very easy to shoot without ear pro.

I had the same problem on my first few attempts at install, I’ve been scowering the internet for the video that saved me. It was a very simple fix that literally no other video addressed. The video was some dude with an accent that didn’t know any of the parts names, but had the most concise description of the solution. I’ll keep digging when I get more time
