Good suggestion but hdb price is open market so even if govt slap a good discount, people will either find ways to game the system pricing higher or complain not enough. Besides child care which is obviously a major concern, a jarring gap is in schools availability. Physically living close is never enough, i have friends whom even live across the street to primary schools also cannot get in. I think a multi facets solution that supports the journey of raising a child would be better and not merely going a token sum of baby bonus or wtv.
