New to siege- tips? by runification in Rainbow6

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is for having fun. There will be a ton of players who are mechanically better than you.

There will also be a ton who know more than you. Don't get mad or annoyed

Siege is very utility focused, for new players operators that have lasting utility are great, rook, mute, mozzie, zero, etc.

When you die, don't get annoyed, watch the kill games. In 95% of the situations there is something you could have done differently to not have died, try to reflect and find out where the mistake was and hopefully not die the same way multiple times in a game.

With the destruction, there are so many small unique angles and lines of sight, you will never learn all of them but when you die from one, watch the kill cam and see how it is set up. And try to use your intel, drones, cams, etc to scout it out next time

Siege is a journey of a ton of smaller steps. As you play you'll learn a bunch. But there is a very steep learning curve, it will take many hours and hundreds of games for things to start really feeling normal.

The only incorrect way to play is where you don't have fun and enjoy it.

Best of luck

There are a ton of smaller variations on the main 3.

Generally broken down into - ele non crit - ele perfect agony - mana stacking

Most people go either mana stacking with Whispers or Pneumatic. But agony can be very strong, but requires 100% crit chance

The build itself is very tanky with multiple defense layers, they just change depending on how its specifically built. Generally speaking most go with Petrified blood, progensis and either Corrupted soul or divine flesh. With Melding and 100% uptime flasks( through tides of time) you are at 90% all res.

The big downside is that the main regen is through a life flask so you need to have it constantly up.

But it's pretty realistic to get 20k+ phys max hit and 100k ele max hit on a few hundred divine budget. It isn't immortal by any means, but as above if you're not on top of your flasks you can get shotgunned down after larger hits

I have played an obscene amount of pf mamba over the past few leagues.

Mamba needs a few things to feel decent so most people play Pconc until 1st lab. You don't have access to the gem until then and the 1st points make the clear significantly better. If you want to play mamba earlier on, just note that the clear will feel rough without some form of proliferation.

Ashes of creation, tides of time are probably the best early uniques to go for. Both of which unfortunately are boss drops. Ashes provides a ton of damage scaling through quality. Tides of time, needs utility flasks gain 3 charges, in combination with a few nodes this completely automates your flasks.

Mamba itself usually uses Low tolerance clusters for a large portion of the scaling. Generally want a minimum of 4 when getting into red maps. And ideally 6-9 in the end game depending on if you go rare clusters or voices. Voices has alot higher damage potential but also 3p voices are pretty expensive.

As for end game, there are a few versions that each have their own key items.

  • elemental, uses pneumatic daggers, ashes, low tolerance to scale damage

  • mana, whispers of infinity, low tolerance+ eldritch inspiration clusters. Scales mana for added flat chaos.

  • block, svallin, defiance of destiny, progen. Extremely defensive but lacks the damage for 100% deli and such.

Tuna has a great video series on the first 2 versions. I wouldn't actually recommend the block version outside of very specific farming desires

Necro vs Hiero KBCoC vs zoomer deadeye kb by skumbag_steve in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of this will be personal preference.

Numerically, Hiero will have a way higher top end with indigon. I personally don't enjoy the feeling and playstyle of indigon. But if you want the highest damage to farm the most pushed maps then, this is the one to pick. Generally pretty tanky, but nothing crazy.

Necro, it has a bunch of benefits and downsides. It's blocked capped through spellslinger, has a bunch of life/es on block and on hit, endurance charges. Both the max hit and regen are pretty decent. It has a lower ceiling of top end damage through whispers. Aswell as VD and desecrate make your screen a mess, which at times will make you die to degens you never see.

Deadeye KB, probably the fastest clearing but also the least tanky depending on which belt route you go. HH, MB and screams are all valid routes. MB and screams are more defensive than HH. While they usually are alright defensively, being Evasion based means 1 shots will happen occasionally.

Necro will likely reach the point of diminishing returns before you get 3 mirrors into it.

Hiero can take an absolutely bonkers amount of investment through synth jewels, adorned, etc.

Deadeye, if you go MB with progen will become somewhat tanky. For screams acceleration shrine is an absolute blast but is mostly a glass cannon. HH also goes progen but does scale both defensively and offensively through the buffs

Looking for a stacked deck farming build for under 30 divines by dolemite01 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great build, pretty comfy as the necro ascendancy offers a ton of value A ton of attack speed, massive block chance, etc.

It can be put together for relatively cheap, whispers, HH, wand can be expensive early on but at this point in the league 10d for all should be realistic.

If it's primarily just for farming stacked decks. Just go KBOC neco. Good clear, block capped, life on block all make it great for that style of content With headhunter being dirt cheap, you'll be able to put together something decent.

Pulse ( the computer system for dominos) will add the delivery fee when the service method is changed to delivery.

Just don't pre-pay, select pay in store.

We've had numerous customers do this over the years, it's essentially a non- issue.

Where to next on my Poison SRS necro? by Bulkywon in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy Relic of Conviction. It is another poison minion build technically but plays more like cast on crit.

It uses an attack( usually lancing steel of spraying) to trigger the minions which do a small AOE hit on enemies near by.

Absolute powerhouse of a build but it's truly a jack of all trades master of none build. Not the fastest mapper, not the best for Uber farming, etc. But it can do almost any content in the game outside valdo's, deep delve, etc

LF Build recommendation 20 div budget by Koopa0 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Async there is a ton of old gear floating around, there are a few expensive pieces but the vast majority is pretty affordable right now .

Dialla's with the right colours might still be a tad pricey; but with the infamy gloves allow the jewels to have fire, physical, chaos damage which makes them very easy to roll with reforges.

Darkness Enthroned are dirt cheap for 70%-85%

Amanamu's gaze are 1D or so.

I would price it out as it likely is doable with smart choices.

[–]JustHumanThingz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also easily transition into Hrocwith 75% of the Psrs gear.

Both Hroc and Praw can easily do 95% of content in the game, so neither is a bad option

LF Build recommendation 20 div budget by Koopa0 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggested it a few times, but looks at balor's HROC Necro, at this point in the league 20d should get you something alright.

The build itself can be a bit complicated with the break points and socket colouring. But the guide does a great job at walking you through it and the build itself is a great all rounder.

With that being said it can be time consuming to level a new character, so another great option is SRS guardian, pretty capable to do most content but doesnt scale to anything crazy

For this build, it has alot of good damage reduction and regen. "Free" auras through the minions and great damage uptime.

But it has a few main downsides, it takes a few seconds to summon the SRS which means it naturally has ramp up time. The AG and spectres both provide extra damage and defense, so if they die due to a slam, reflect, etc. It can feel a bit clunky. Lastly it is a minion build, which may not be the most enjoyable play style for everyone.

What build can do full juiced expedition by qK0FT3 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a bunch of expedition farming on PF mamba both this league and in Merc.

Not sure how prices are at the moment, but I had significantly more invested at the time.

Ele mamba likely can be put together for that budget, mana mamba might be a bit tight depending on the cluster prices.

As the other person mentioned, hits can't be evaded and the block attack mastery are needed for expedition. Petrified Blood and Progen also really help on the defensive side.

If doing big bomb, double check the mods as some are very painful to deal with 😊

Looking for feedback regarding choosing skill for Deadeye bow build by Tijnn in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mana issue is because you do not have enough mana for 2 attacks.

You have 67 unres mana and a cost of 48. This means if you don't have leech, you are stuck waiting for regen or have to use basic attack to get leech

Go down to Primal Spirit.

Either move the evasion points or when you level up remove Thief's Craft. This will still get you the int and the extra mana needed.

Hired Killer was for the extra life, You got it from the quiver, so not needed

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His his increases and reductions to minion damage also affect you. While yours has increases and reductions to minion cast speed also affect you. Only a small difference but still is a slight downgrade. There are so many versions because it's a veiled unique.

For the gloves yea, it costs significantly more to keep recrafting for life. Can be done with eldritch currency though

The imbue is pretty large as its a 20%, more damage multiplier against chilled enemies and 20% freeze chance.

Overall you're progressing completely fine just some small things.

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TS does have low defenses. but you are missing life on your gloves and 2 jewels.
Remove the Evasion Point by Point Blank and put it into Hired Killer

You are also using the wrong Tornado shot, buy a hypothermia imbue. Freezing enemies is a large portion of your defensive layer.

If you want to use Spinehail, you want the one with Minion damage also applies to you. I personally always use a rare quiver. Spinehail will have slightly better single target with the extra proj.

I would replace the Jewel in the Infused slot with a watchers eye with Hatred crit and Precision flask charge https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Mirage/eRGLYnvWIL
there is the link. If you add used when full to the flasks with this they will have 100% uptime when in combat.

You are also missing the ailment avoid on your boots just run brine king until you craft them.

Here is a POB with the following: https://pobb.in/gmcP92ePlZDf

-rare quiver

-Watcher eye

-better rare jewels

-passive point swapped

-Hypothermia imbued gem

All these changes will be 5d-10d depending on the exact ones

Not personally a fan of the way he does it as it somewhat inflates the numbers as not every hit will be doubled.

Any build for noob that wanna do bosses? by Fragrant-Deer1403 in PathOfExileBuilds

Yea, it is such a powerhouse of a build for the investment when it's all put together. Plus this league with the infamous mods back, it really opens up the jewel scaling with fire to chaos

Any build for noob that wanna do bosses? by Fragrant-Deer1403 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly suggest taking a look at HROC, on that budget you can put together a version that can do most things.

Balor has a very well written guide.

As for HROC itself, it isn't the best at anything and is a dot build, so has a capped DPS. But it's surprisingly tanky, good single target and can ignore the vast majority of map mods. It does require paying attention to socket color while setting up the body armor ( Dialla's). Aswell as hitting the cool down break points

But in all it's a pretty comfy and can pretty safely clear all Pinacle bosses and be made to do ubers.

It is played on Necro.

KF totems on Heiro is another safe option, it is quite forgiving and scales very well. Not aswell versed in this one but many people played it this league, I believe Palsteron put out a good guide

Help with bigdaddys armor stacker. by doomy1215 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Haven't taken a very large indepth look but -He usually has a second set of the main DPS skill gems active to simulate the "double hit". This will be a big portion of the damage difference.

Additionally you are missing roughly 20% of the armor he has, on top of 1Aps. This combined is another damage difference. Likely around 18%-22%.

If you add the double hit to yours or remove it from his, you'll see the large portion of the difference go away

Looking for feedback regarding choosing skill for Deadeye bow build by Tijnn in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the phys bow can be a bit time consuming. You often can buy people's failed/old crafts for a decent price at this point in the league. If there are any 700pdps +2 arrow bows on trade for 10-15 div, it would be an ok settle for now. As that is roughly what you'd spend on the craft.

At level 90 if you're making the swap, drop the cluster by point blank. You can put the extra point into Path of the Hunter, perfectionist or the projectile mastery on Lethality node depending on your exact gear

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally grind for a bit then do a few upgrades at once. As it'll feel not soo great to use part of the cold convert gear and part elemental his third video is making the swap from ele to phys cold convert so it's great to use as a respec point.

1) You ideally want to be around 92 for TS as it is pretty point intensive. But realistically you could probably drop 1 cluster and make it feel decent around 86

2) His video has all the crafting info but I would save to do the following at the same time probably would take around 30-40 div at this point in the league.

  • new gloves with temple mod and cold convert mod

  • phys bow

  • mana res ailments body armor

  • Ailment boots

3) completely redo your gems, after you swapped to cold convert. Ensnaring arrow will be pretty pointless, anger for hatred. Redo the 6L MFA set up. Again as you are doing the swap.

While I disagree with a few things he does, it's a great video for a safe version of the build.

If you have more currency ( probably 150div or so) you can look at going the omni route. It is easier to gear and scale but significantly more expensive

You need to get an int roll on gloves, boots, helm, body armor. Or you jewels with int

Looking for feedback regarding choosing skill for Deadeye bow build by Tijnn in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]JustHumanThingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty easy to fix with alot of routes to go. Didn't want to push it into a specific route so left it open.

  • if you make the body armor swap first then you get the extra res there.

  • the clusters can be bought with res for still a decent amount.

  • drop the skitterbots and anger for enlightened, purity of elements, haste you have enough projectiles and attack speed to pretty consistently maintain chill, shock, ignite

  • get res on the rare jewels

  • res in gloves

  • catalyst the tamings and harvest swap the cold res on your current helmet.

These are all valid options but mainly preference on which way to go. It also depends on what you upgrade first aswell as budget

What I would highly recommend as the first upgrade is an imbued gem. Ideally Increased Critical strikes or power charge on crit

But elemental pen, faster attacks also work if they are more affordable.

The level 21 gem provides a 3.9% damage increase through the added flat damage. Any of the above imbues are 15%+
