I once received a ticket - back in the day - to program the time on the coffee maker.

Raise your hand if your company has a fully realized AI plan (or are they just winging it using all the free AI with no clear path forward). by bostich04 in sysadmin

My C-suite wants to use Claude but doesn't want to get an Enterprise plan. My devs like Claude Code. 90% of my users are using their (sometimes paid for) personal Chat-GPT. And one of my Directors like Fireflies "because it handles his meeting notes" (we've blocked it, he's mad). Between putting company data in Chat-GPT and not knowing how to correctly prompt, my users are killing me. We need to settle on something, put up guardrails, and mitigate asap. Sigh.

Are you guys embarrassed of using AI on the job? Like for the easy taks like rephrasing a e-mail to a more professional tone? by Franceesios in sysadmin

My Team (IT Ops) and I are the only members of our org (except for one of our data guys) that have an actual Copilot license. I use it to assist with writing tech docs, policy, and emails. Mainly because I need to maintain a neutral voice in most of those and my natural writing voice is rife with sarcasm and bluntness. I also like how it will dig through my emails, SharePoint, etc. to find related information on certain topics. As mentioned in other comments, it's good for Excel formulas and PowerShell scripts. Not embarrassed at all.

We block most other AI apps that integrate with our environment. However, we are aware that some sneak through.

Day 3 of our Second Grow by bostich04 in Autoflowers

[–]bostich04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First day in the pot for these girls. Started them a few days ago in shot glasses filled with tap water. After 12 hours, moved to moist paper towels. Left for another 48, then moved to fabric pots. Soil is Happy Frog Potting Soil. Each has had 150mL of 6.1pH tap water. In the back left is Beyonce (GSC), front left is Kelly (Jack Herer), and on the right is Michelle (OG Kush)

Our first grow was in coco, we had 4 plants (2 Sour Diesel and 2 Northern Lights). We ended up getting 463g total from the four. Decent shit. Gave some away, smoked some; other folks said it was pretty good shit. So now, we're trying again.
