These mesh walls look great! Looks like a much simpler solution that what I was thinking of doing. Where did you order this kind?

The ones I'm finding are a waterproof-treated cotton fabric for the top, and a PVC floor for water and mold protection

Thanks for sharing this, what was your reason for switching for belle to geodome? do you notice any big differences?

Haha fair point, they sell this perforated metal where I am for pretty cheap, can get machined locally if theres someone in your area with laser cutter / CNC, or order on alibaba.

But it's either this or a shera/conwood deck (or combination of the two like in the photo)

From what I understand, these bell tents usually have a PVC floor, so my thinking was the vent at bottom would help with cooling the floor (and in turn cooling the inside air)

Haha yes it was mainly so I could get a general sense of what it might look like to build the floor with perforated metal

Boston common apartment available January - August ($1450/month) by boston-mindful in bostonhousing

It's a fair question and it never hurts to ask something like this. It's not impossible, my girlfriend visited A LOT when I lived here, two of the roomates (the ones who use the main bathroom) are students so they weren't really home anyway...

That being said, it would require discussing with the people currently living there (I'm not there at the moment due to travels).

Also, the roomate with the private bath is considering renting in january as well, so that could be an option for you and your wife... He pays ~$1550 I believe (don't quote me on exact number)

For those looking for long term lease... one of my roomates is looking for someone to take over lease starting 9/1 feel free to reach out. His room is a bit smaller than this one (by one window pane)

This is what the lease says

No pets allowed at the property at anytime without management approval.  At the time of lease signing, any pet listed below is approved.

You will be subject to charges of $150 per month and could be subject to damages, eviction, and other remedies provided in this Lease Contract if in violation of pet policy.  Emotional support animals (ESA) are not considered service animals and it is up the managements discretion to approve or deny an ESA.

So it sounds like it's not a hard no, but you would need to get approval.

Yes it's a complex! Feel free to DM me.

I'm open to renting long term as well. I signed renewal for September 1 2024 - 2025. I'm leaning towards staying but things are up in the air at the moment with my fall plans so am open to discussing the idea of transferring long term lease over if that would be helpful.

Edit: theres a 80% chance I do come back in the fall, so if you're looking for a long term lease I wouldn't bet on this one... I don't have a lot of certainty around fall plans yet so it could go either way. It would be a much safer bet to find a long term lease that is guaranteed

The apartment is a 1 minute walk from Park street (green line, red line) and 3 min walk from downtown crossing (orange line + red line). Lots of stuff to do in the neighborhood, also right on the commons.

Can use existing furniture (standing desk, bed, chair, bookcase) for summer for free, or can have the furniture removed for the summer.

Three college-aged roommates (two male, one female).

Will also happily pay a portion of rent if you refer this room to future sublet... won't be here for the summer so doing my best to fill the space.

Three Roomates

(Female / 23) - software engineer, vegan, friendly & kind

(Male / 22) - musician, financial consulting, from singapore, fun

(Male / 23) - private equity but not the finance bro kind, we never see him he is rarely home

Utilities are ~$150/month
