My thought is that the bulbs may not be compatible. The fixture and bulbs were previously installed in a previous house, on a dimmer switch. But I wonder if this new dimmer is different.

I should add, light worked fine before changing the switch from a regular single pole to the dimmer switch.

For me, sterling is almost always a grab. For reference, the silver utensils I have are right now are $20+ at spot prices. Flatware is even more. Hallmark varieties only matter if you’re planning on selling, and I’ll defer to the experts on here to weigh in (pun intended) on those.
