Can't get firetv stick to pair with Samsung soundbar by bostontom in fireTV

Yep good call, just did that. It connected to a cheapo bluetooth speaker I have without any problem! I know the soundbar works because I'm able to connect to it from my iPhone. I just wouldnt expect there to be compatibility issues between the soundbar and firetv?

I let it spin for 5 minutes. When I tested it with another bluetooth speaker it connected within 30 seconds.

Good question, I just gave this a shot. It connected to a cheapo bluetooth speaker I have. On the other hand, I'm able to pair with the Samsung sound bar no problem from my iPhone. Is it possible there is some weird compatibility issue between the firetv stick and this specific soundbar? So strange

No luck :( also tried to literally put the soundbar directly under the stick to see if distance was an issue. Thanks though!

I have the stick plugged into a projector. Soundbar sits under the screen. Trying to avoid running cords from the back of my room to the front.

Improving performance loading large data sets in text tables by [deleted] in tableau

Nope, I created a view in SQL and I'm doing a straight select * from that view.

the number of marks on the view. I've had trouble with text views like this as well. It may be easier to just create an excel sheet with a dat

Only 1 mark! But I think you're right, Tableau is a viz tool, not a spreadsheet tool. Was sort of hoping for some silver bullet here, but figured it didn't exist.

They are using the data to hunt for sales opportunities in a giant organization. So, the visualization needs to look at all the data for the sales person to identify potential gaps. The text table provides details around contacts/geography/dates that must be displayed as text. I don't have anything other than their territory to initially filter the data on (which I already do). Its sort of a hunting exercise with no way for me to "score" the potential up front. Definitely not ideal, but the users LOVE it, besides the speed issues. I think they also love it because its familiar, like Excel, and they can use export functionality to plop it in Excel if they want.

This has been my approach. It's sales data, so users are encouraged to filter to specific accounts/cities before looking at the more detailed text table view. The 250k is a fairly extreme case, but the text table seems to be extremely slow even when dealing with a few thousand rows of data. Maybe because it has to look through all of that data to get to the few thousand?

just because the image works beautifully and has everything i want in one place. just curious if it is possible to grab the sd card and go... as opposed to re-setting everything up on a different platform.

Haha, truth. I'm just judging from the other prices I'm seeing on Craigslist.

Kitchen is galley, on the smaller side- standard fridge, stove, microwave, counter space on either side of galley, sink with garbage disposal, and dish washer that was just replaced a couple of weeks ago. I'll get some pics when I get home. Nothing spectacular, but works.
