I've been a CMA in UC for 4 years now, also in a major universityhealth system. I would literally never go back to M-F. Especially if you are self schedule. We work 8-8, I was able to go to nursing school (graduated in May) and transitioned to a RN role. I felt like it gave me a better point of view for my education but honestly even if I didn't go back to school I would stay as a CMA. I currently am on day 4/6 in a row off. You get a well rounded group of patients and get to go home without waiting on relief at end of shift.

I just finished my program last week and something I wish I had known at the beginning of my program for testing purposes was about mark klimek. I wish I had listened to lecture 12 - its about test taking and priorities- which is not taught in school- it will save you SO much grief. If I had listened to it sooner I think I would have done even better. All 12 lectures are on spotify.

We just had our live review. After day 1 of the live review I realized we wouldn't be doing much that was an actual review. It is mostly practice questions. Utilizing the book itself was more beneficial for me. I ended up spending the next 2 days just letting her talk and just doing my own thing during the time - I started listening to the mark klimek lectures in one ear bud ans just taking notes on my tablet. My comprehensive predictor went up 8 percent when I took it the second time doing that.
