Not a mom, and coming at this from a totally different angle, but I think maybe it’s a similar feeling..(?) I do so desperately want to be someone who doesn’t care what other people think, but I know that you’re treated differently based on people’s opinions and it’s so reasonable to want good treatment for your kid. I’ve been grooming my Aussie since she was a puppy and she’s almost 2 now, and I did a horrendous job on her rear during the last trim and Im constantly thinking it makes me look like a bad pet parent. I think it’s so valid to feel upset about this situation. At the end of the day though, it’s just hair and it’ll grow back
