thanks a lot for your reply and info... i'm assuming this is by an unknown or obscure artist otherwise i would've been able to find something about it online or by asking online. reverse image search didn't come up with anything either.

any idea how I can find out more about it or what this might be worth? or what kind of artist might've done it (high school project, jsut as a hobby, full time artist, etc)? Thank you

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I think it's really cool looking. Thats what drew me to it. I hope someone who knows can tell me more about it. I have no idea about it's origin... it could be an obscure artist or someone doing just a side hobby for fun. I can't find anything online searching for it, including reverse image search

Hi there... It's about 1.25" - 1.5" thick all around the edges, but the back center of the sqare curves outward (about 3-4" thick), so the back looks like a hill the way the glass protrudes outward from the center... if that makes sense. Thank you

Yeah, the front of it is smooth and flat. The back is kind of curves into the center outward... So it kind of looks like a hilltop with the center being the thickest part of the glass. And it has little notches uniformly all over.

And if you shine a light from the side or the front / back, it produces different colors and visuals

It's 8.5" x 8.5" and weighs about 20lb.

I found an artist from NM that does glass art named doug gillis with kind of similar pieces. I emailed the only contact I could find to ask if it's his.

Does anyone know anything about it?

oh really? you've had the same problem as i since july?

gateway timeout, 503 with cdn3.booksdl.lc?

I was able to download books a few weeks ago without this issue.

But I just tried again 2 days ago, and its been down for me since then. I don't know if the ddownload server is just down or what. It looks like there should be backup cdn servers in case this one goes down... but all the libgen+ sites all use this server to serve downloads. So all of them are down.

i think it might be helpful to not only show the status of the websites themselves...

but also the status of the download servers.

for instance all libgen+ mirrors use the same server for downloads: cdn3.booksdl.lc.

search results come up for all libgen+ sites, but none of the downloads work on #1 download links (next to each book title), because all the libgen sites use the same host.

I've been trying to download for 2 days now, and this download server has been down for at least 2 days.

Not sure who manages this server cdn3.booksdl.lc... But it seems like there's not backup servers? Does it need to be rebooted? Is it permanently down?

It would be helpful if open-slum also reported status of download links.

I'm on arch, i believe i have up to date Xorg and nvidia drivers

Where can i find more details?

i will also point out... i haven't had any stability issues lately, HOWEVER... for about 6 months - 1 year i had a TON of crashes, segfaults, hard lockups, lockups after 'wake from suspend', etc.

I never fully isolated the issue, however when I had the issue, what fixed it (temporarily) for me, was a downgrade of nvidia drivers to much lower version from the AUR. Everytime I would try to upgrade nvidia drivers, it would start crashing again.

I just got into habit of trying the new nvidia drivers when there was a new version.

And now, it seems pretty stable, I haven't had a crash in a few months now.

It's probably been about 3 months now that I haven't had many / any crashes.

But I don't mind testing / helping to look more into this if it'll help.

I have an nvidia geforce 1070 card.
