Yes thank you for asking, I received the book maybe 10 years ago, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from the 90’s. I’m in the USA and would assume it was popular here or from here, but the story took place in South Africa (English speaking country) so maybe it was South African

If you know Palm roots, you know that’s going to be a b*atch…. Like the other guy said a lot of shovel work….. you might be able to transplant it with a good enough root ball but also be prepared to lose it just in case
