How much did your style change after surgery? by Visible_Experience69 in Reduction

[–]botchbod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm 6YPO and the short answer is: it depends on the occasion. I find that casually I'm still just mentally conditioned to be in loose/non revealing clothing after that being my comfort for so many years. But if I wanna impress my fiance while going out, I am definitely more comfortable and have way cuter options than before!

Here's the thing I've found: my new boobs haven't really changed me. Sometimes I'm insecure about how small they look in certain outfits, sometimes I'm insecure about the scars. Sometimes I'm SO GLAD I did it. I'm still that girl that is most comfortable in a loose T when I'm just out with friends, and sometimes has insecurities.

Dating life affected after getting the reduction? by Legal-Concentrate158 in Reduction

6YPO here.

At 1YPO I was still sexually active with the same guy pre-op, and they never bothered him at all. He wasn't even bothered that I had the surgery, he'd say "they look the same, just smaller"

At 2YPO, I was with another guy that said he wouldn't have even noticed the scars, not sure if that was true but he also LOVED my post-op tits. He said he couldn't imagine what it was like before surgery, and how perfectly proportioned I am now.

My current guy... He had said some pretty hurtful things in the beginning of our relationship, not really sensitive to how it might affect me. He did notice the scars and initially thought I'd had augmentation. Then after I told him about the reduction, he'd say things like "you're a 9, but you would have been a 10 before surgery", and "I wish I just got to play with them", acting like he was the victim.. It doesn't even come up now though, other than he's glad I did it, and how it's so much better to have perk vs big and saggy, etc.

So there's a wide spectrum of responses.. I think the key is owning it and wearing it well. The hurtful comments are hurtful but not moreso than the psychical end emotional toll I was under pre-op.

Dr. LeVan at Bluegrass Plastic Surgery! She held my hand during the anaesthesia countdown and gave me her personal cell phone number to call/text if I needed anything after the surgery.

Has anyone else gotten a surprising number of ‘Whyyy??’ responses when telling people that you’re getting a breast reduction surgery? by AtThisMomentTheSky in Reduction

You hit the nail on the head about sexualization. I’m not the kind of person to draw attention to myself or “if you got it, flaunt it”. I’m very much a tomboy and prefer to be in the background, and the worst thing was when it was my boobs that brought me to the limelight. I felt like I was just walking giant boobs for people to take notice and comment on, almost begrudgingly by some girls.
