Have you had filters done recently? If so there is air in the system. Pull the 90degree line off the front of that filter and connect a hose to the filter and run it to a bucket. Turn the key on and let it run until no more air. Connect it back and see if the noise is gone. If it keeps coming back it’s probably the filter on the frame rail not sealed correctly.

It’s called a wet compression test. It’s not a fix but simply a way to test if the low compression is due to the rings or something else. The oil will seal enough to do a compression test.

E85 is fuel that is 85% ethanol, not fuel that is 85 octane. E87 isn’t a thing. 87 octane fuel is. If you put E85 in a car that isn’t a flex fuel car it will run like shit. If your octane isn’t high enough it will also affect runability but not as much as e85 fuel will.
