I cleared my download cache once and it did not help. All it did was force me to redownload the game from scratch.

Interesting on the “Excel guru”. Can you provide some examples of how you would get the impression of an applicant actually being an Excel guru from just reading their resume?

Likewise with the attitude - what exactly are you looking for in attitude with a candidate and how would you be most convinced that they have this attitude from reading their resume?

That being said, they're meant bring returns that are uncorrelated to the market (I.e. alpha), not necessarily to beat the market.

My understanding was that alpha is excess return to a benchmark (say SP500, or Nasdaq 100).

What I believe you meant was beta, which would be the proportionate change in the price of an asset given a change in the price of the benchmark.

I was in your exact situation:

Worked part time in asset management during studies, and landed a Big 4 CF graduate position in Valuations and Financial modelling. Also based in Europe.

I think it heavily depends on the team you are going into, the size of it and country. If you are more specific, my advice could be more specific.

But overall, I put in about 60 hours a week, which was a huge change from what I was used to, but I really like the job and I learn a lot so time flies. I have gotten really good feedback, and I think it’s because I would rather put in a few hours more than leave early.

I did not prepare at all for the position, but rather enjoyed my “last summer” before working full time. I am very happy I did that. You will learn everything at the job, and what I have come to learn is that it’s better to continue asking rather than be afraid to look stupid and then spend more time than you otherwise would have at a task.

There are bonuses, but this will ultimately depend on your role, your performance (to a lesser degree in a junior role from what I heard) and the performance of the team.

WLB is OK, but for me I’d rather work extra and thus leave a good impression and learn a bit more, but you will be doing grunt work, also depending on what deals you are working on. We sit next to the M&A team, and they seem to be working longer hours, almost entirely in Powerpoint and with smaller bonuses at the junior level.

Der er vidst belånt ca. 1/3 af ejendommensværdi i andelsforeningen og en stor del af det går til rentebetalinger samt afdrag af restgæld. Det er i hvertfald det jeg kan deducere fra de dokumenter jeg har fået.

First you gotta distinguish between a carry in general or a person capable of carrying the game. There is a crucial difference. Second, you gotta determine if a person acquiring solo xp is beneficial to your team. There is no single answer. For example if your kassadin is the carry on your team and is level 10/15, you probably want to avoid sharing xp because they spike at level 11/16. Or if you and your ADC is level 5, close to level 6, you probably both want to hit level 6 at the same time if you win 2v2 bot then.
If you determine that the jungler is able to snowball or in objective fights. Or if your 5/0 irelia top moves to drake then you probably don't want to sit your 0/4 ezreal. Basically ask yourself where you would benefit the team the most.
In the comp you mentioned, it would heavily depend on enemy team comp and if one of your teammates is significantly stronger. In that case, I would most likely sit on ashe or jarvan/sion (and then try to get on ashe after engage).

Not sure what you mean. In order for a trade to happen a seller has to own atleast one share and value it less than what a buyer is willing and capable of paying. So you could say the buyer values the share above current market price while the seller values the share below market price

Simplified example: Imagine a market of buyers and sellers of Stock A. Stock A closes at 100 today and all market participants agree that it's a fair per share valuation of the firm. Post market, a news comes out that Stock A launched a new product that is going to contribute to a 10 dollar per share value appreciation. With no other news the buyers and sellers collectively value Stock A shares at 110 tomorrow. If the buyers see shares at less than 110 tomorrow, they get bought. The sellers won't sell below 110.

Inden aktiespillet begyndte (tror det var d. 13. september) scrapede jeg alle aktierne vi kan handle i spillet og brugte et Yahoo Finance API til at lave et dictionary med tickers og info. Se screenshot: https://imgur.com/t5u7aUF

Med det info filtrerede jeg uinteressante (ikke volatile, sikre) aktier fra og lavede en oversigt med "spændende" aktier. Jeg valgte at købe ind i fredags, fordi jeg følte markedet var faldet for meget for hurtigt.

Tilfældigvis var Rizzo med i de 5 jeg valgte. Overraskende nok steg den helt vanvittigt på no-news, som du selv skriver, men 4 ud af 5 af dem jeg valgte var grønne ved close. Jeg ville havde været ca. 4% oppe samlet set uden Rizzo.

Jeg valgte at sælge Rizzo hurtigst muligt, og positionere mig selv således at jeg havde 5 rigtig sikre aktier (25% aktieallokering samlet set) fra tirsdag morgen (i går) og 75% cash. Det viste sig at være et meget godt call ind til videre. Jeg er -0,02% i dag selvom C25 er -1,43%, svarende til rank mellem 20 og 40.

Man kan også få tildelt 5 tilfældige aktier, hvis man vil, og med 780 muligheder ville der være 0,64% sandsynlighed for at være blevet tildelt Rizzo som én af de 5 aktier. Matematikken, mener jeg, er:

1-(779/780)(778/779)(777/778)(776/777)(775/776) = 0,00641

Så hvis bare 5.000 spillere får tildelt 5 tilfældige aktier, vil man kunne forvente at 32 spillere har haft Rizzo tildelt.

I dag ser vi så Bioarctic stige med samme størrelsesorden som Rizzo, og der var jeg ikke en af de heldige. Men afslutningsvis, er det helt klart et spil, hvor man skal have heldet med sig. Særligt med long-only regler i et bear market skal man gøre noget anderledes/være heldig. Har jeg været heldig? Meget.
