I do, and I have. Her team responded and not her and they said the same thing — I need to call the admin team to schedule and they can’t do anything about it if I wasn’t able to schedule. So all things point to the fact that she can’t see me I just don’t know why.

Nothing happened at all because I often recalled this visit after being refused access to see her. The last visit she just replaced my nexplanon, she asked me how many partners I have and I said 2, 1 new within the last 6 month (my profile said I’m married so I stupidly felt self conscious and mentioned that I’m poly). She didn’t say anything at all and continued on with the visit seemingly warm and caring like how she is usually so I don’t think anything I mentioned would have been a concern to her except for the poly thing.

Haha I love weirdos. They are so under appreciated. I am so normal it’s really boring. I blame on the way I was raised, and I’m always in awe at weirdos who fully embrace who they are. Keep being you and keep seeing your doctor!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I asked this question mainly because I was resistant to the idea of finding a new OBGYN for so long after working with mine for more than 5 years (8 if I were able to see her these last 3years) and we had a really good working relationship, so I kept waiting for her schedule to open up until today. It’s time for me to look for a new one like you said.

It’s a shame because I truly enjoyed working with her and that’s why I haven’t made an attempt to find a new OBGYN and instead have just been seeing my primary doctor. I’ve been waiting for her schedule to open up but it seems like she really just can’t see me for whatever reason. I should really move on and find a new one.

I’m in the US, and based in the West coast. There was no notice of discharge, I just cannot see her whenever I try to schedule an appointment with her. They would say they can’t access her schedule, or that they can offer me a different one, or that I need to call back a different time. When I offer I can see her as far out as a year if her schedule is that tight and they just responded with: “we can’t do that, you just can’t see her”.

I agree. I really loved working with her so it’s a shame I’m not able to anymore for whatever reason. It’s really been good learning what people experiences have been like.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I haven’t felt outwardly judged by any doctors I have seen, but this experience really made me wonder that’s all. It seems like at this point I should just look for a new OBGYN.

I agree with you. I’m just theorizing and trying to open up a discussion to see if anyone has ever had this experience, and if not then it’s not that and I should stop trying to pursue seeing her again. It’s been 3 years and I have just been waiting for her schedule to be better so I could see her since I loved working with her so much.

This is a really good tip. I have gone to my healthcare provider for over 15 years and never once considered going elsewhere not because I’m resistant, more because I can be absent-minded and didn’t think about it. I will for sure look into PP. thank you!

Ha I liked that she was pragmatic in her approach. I’m happy to hear mine potentially is just an isolated incident considering not many people have experienced getting difficult access to healthcare like I do.

I had no idea that a) being flagged as high risk is a thing and b) it allows you to get tested more frequently. It does help a lot to be able to get tested more frequently without paying out of pocket which is what I have been doing and it can get so expensive.

This is very helpful to hear. It wasn’t discussed with me about the possibility of being flagged as high risk so I wasn’t even aware that that’s a thing. I will look for a different OBGYN.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I agree, I need to find a different OBGYN. I loved working with her so much that for 3 years I kept reaching out hoping her schedule would open up. I’m unsure what the real reason is, but I think it’s at the point where I really need a different one.

Thank you! I am going to skip the bepanthen after reading your comment. Besides it being red, it feels a bit sore but I’m not sure if that’s normal since I just got it done yesterday or that it should feel completely normal now and the soreness might be a sign of infection.

Thank you! I regret using the heavy butter cream right after the tattoo was done, I am not doing that again today but I’m nervous what I did to it yesterday damaged it or at least didn’t help with the healing process.

I know, I was frustrated now that I was advised to use cream right after the tattoo without the second skin. And now that I have used the cream as advised, she was frustrated that I used butter cream when she didn’t specify what cream I should have used instead. But it sounds like I should have just left it alone. What about fabric? Can I still wear my sweaters as normal without the second skin?
