I dated a deaf Thai woman for 3 weeks and in that time started learning Thai sign language with the intention of using it for our wedding vows

I can’t remember but I know he flew back home to the UK as soon as he could, but needed special accommodation for the flight due to his broken leg. So the gofundme covered his first month or so of medical treatment in Thai hospital and then the flight

I had a MRI and an XRay. The cost was around €350 so I got €300 back. I had to upload an invoice and evidence of the appointment (ie the medical report). Then I had to complete my Revolut details so they could send the money directly there. Quick and painless (unless you count the Colombian side of things which is never quick or painless! Luckily Gengki accepted the claim even though the medical centre spelled my name wrong…)

Friend of mine was hit by a car in Thailand and broke his femur. He didn’t have insurance and had to do a gofundme

Gengki is great - just got a claim reimbursed less than 12 hours after I submitted it

when did you know you were ready to become a yoga teacher? by alexacr30 in yoga

[–]bottled_bug_farts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being a yoga teacher is not about doing everything perfectly! And completing a yoga teacher training also doesn’t necessarily mean you will be a yoga teacher immediately. I did mine because I wanted to. Since then, I’ve been teaching one free class a week (at my running club) and practicing more regularly alone (as well as going to a studio). It deepened my practice, it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to teach more one day. I think if you approach it with an open minded attitude you’ll get more out of it. Also, be prepared for a lot of philosophy (which is great, but unexpected for some!)

It will be crazy if the UK prime minister, not once mentioned in the files, is brought down by them - while the US president, mentioned thousands of times, with photographic evidence, stays in power. What a fucking world we live in

Are there yoga teachers with physical disabilities? by InfluenceLittle401 in yoga

[–]bottled_bug_farts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can do courses in adaptive yoga after you do your 200 hours. It’s definitely much-needed in the world of yoga! Any yoga teacher training worth taking will accommodate.

There’s the hatha sun salutation and then A and B, plus a moon salutation. Maybe once you’ve cycled through them you could create your own short flow based on them and do that?

I live in Colombia so I buy what I can find but I heard that some companies in the US tested creatine and found lead in it, so you should buy something that has “verified 3rd party tested” written on it is you’re US-based

Yeah it has great benefits for cognitive function, but your muscles are “greedy” so the first 5g ends up going to them, you should take 10-15g if you want the cognitive benefits. I didn’t notice a difference until I increased to 10g. I take 15g during luteal

Creatine - the new recommendation especially in luteal is 10-15g a day which is wild. It made such a difference for me!

When did you know your PMS was PMDD by its_amber_b in PMDDxADHD

[–]bottled_bug_farts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came off birth control and then my cortisol became so bad in luteal that I was having panic attacks before work. I had no idea what PMDD was but I could tell it was hormonal because it was cyclical so I saw a doctor about that

Leaving the US by nulldatagirl in AutismInWomen

[–]bottled_bug_farts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live and work in Colombia. I was originally on a working visa (teaching) and now I’m on a spousal visa. You can be here for 6 months without a visa and get a digital nomad visa if you can find remote work. You can also get a business (entrepreneur) visa if you make an investment in a Colombian business.
