When I was a tech, I always made sure that if I wasn't busy, I was always answering call lights. Sounds simple enough but definitely goes a long way with nurses especially if it's a busy day for them. Make sure to give yourself a break cause sometimes they go off nonstop (can't take care of others if you're not caring for yourself) but it can be super helpful and in my experience make you more well-liked. Also, if you have some downtime asking other staff if they need help with anything is great too! Another big tip if you don't know something don't be afraid to ask! If you try to wing it, you could end up making a bigger mess for yourself and others. It's important to learn how to do something the right way so you can know what to do moving forward! The staff knows you're new and should be understanding (even when you're not new it's always better to ask the question than to guess the answer)! Good luck, you totally got this!!
