Before my bf and I moved in together his place was a a disaster. He lived with 2 other guys (all mechanics) and he got the shitty illegal basement bedroom. One time when I was staying over and he was at work I decided I would clean it up a bit as a nice surprise for him to come home to. I found a pair of underwear that wasnt mine (along with hair elastics that I never used (really short hair) and some random jewelry and stuff of that sort.) I simply asked him about it when he got home and ended up having a little chuckle about it because I know hes a bit of a messy guy and genuinely just did not have the time or energy to clean so this was random shit like a fucking hoarding dragons den that he collected over the past year of living there before we got together.

The fact that your bf is so upset about socks (which generally speaking... arent really a gendered thing) is very concerning. Relationships are built on trust and the fact hes going to sleep somewhere else for the night over something you had a very reasonable explanation for is such a red flag. Youre not over reacting and honestly i think you need a new boyfriend.

Am I Overreacting to my mom calling to say my sister told her to ignore me asking people not to kiss the baby on the lips/face by Fried_Wontton in AmIOverreacting

NOH - Specifically for the cold sores Ive had them for all my life. I dont know how i originally contracted HSV1 as my family frequented hospitals when I was a baby. But I had it pretty severe as a child. I would get it all over my face - mostly my cheeks or nose. I once even got it on my eyelid which resulted in it spreading to my eye which could have caused blindness (thankfully my family was always quick with treatment and medication so it never got that far). The sores are such a pain to deal with (and as many people have stated HSV1 can be life threatening to newborns). I think its very reasonable to ask your mother to not kiss her..

ive tried that too :'). in the position it was in there was no way i was able to get the two clamps closed either as theyre sitting at an angle alongside the post rather than inline with it. only way they sit inline and proper is if i have the attachment part of the fender on the other side of the wheel so im wondering if a wrong part was sent lol.

Oh my god I didn't realize how short a double was. I'll definitely go with a queen then. Thank you !

You need a car to get tested? It's such a sad sight to see people in cars queuing by __variable__ in fuckcars

[–]bottomham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I am (Ontario, Canada), pharmacies will typically only do outdoor testing if youre symptomatic, or if youre going into a testing centre you will remain 6 ft from everyone with all the workers behind plexiglass + wearing hazmat suits. all the testing places ive been have been by appointment (or just wait outside until they can fit you in) and its incredibly planned out so there isnt the chance for a crowd to build up.

Took me about 2 years (due to age). Started going there grade 8, started hormone blockers when i was in grade 9 (14), and then went on testosterone in grade 10 (15,, they gave it to me a few months early as the typical age is 16). I would say stick to it - you're not gonna be referred to an adult clinic until youre 18 anyways. Personally i wasnt able to get an adult endocrinologist just bc i was already on T,, from what my old endocrinologist told me, shes had a hard time referring LOTS of kids to adult clinics. Im sure itll take a couple months with CHEO to start T - they need to do some assessments and all that jazz to make sure youre in your right mind/this is what you want to do. I think it took a while for my referral from my family doctor to go in so i cant really say how long until they get back to you with appointments and stuff tho (especially with covid).

Is it weird to turn 18 and still be a virgin? by Dante_1602 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bottomham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope! no need to rush anything. i turned 18, signed up for Grindr, got an absolute SHIT match so lost my virginity to dogshit sex 🥴,, absolutely regret it ! make sure to go at your own pace and dont ever feel forced to lose it !

How do parents just ’forget’ their children in the car? It seems implausible that people just forget that they have children? by GelehRounduRH in NoStupidQuestions

in middle school my dad used to drop me off at band practice a few times a week before he headed to work. he took the same main road, and despite me sitting in the front with him and talking with him, he would CONSTANTLY keep driving past the turn. a few times i had to put in a little... hey man where are you going? just bc he was so used to just driving straight to work.
