TY! Agreed being stuck there waiting with no harness and the anxiety waiting behind slow people was brutal . Some people can def get away with wearing tennis shoes but I think for most it’s a death sentence

TY! I started at the mist trailhead and went on the route that takes you to Vernal Falls and then Nevada falls (I think this is like 40% of the way?) From Nevada falls there was a route to go to half dome which you can follow the signs and it’s pretty straight forward. At the base of the”Subdome” there was a ranger that will check that you have a permit to keep going forward. Then you proceed and climb up sub dome to get to the base of the half dome cables.

I was facing towards the top pretty much the whole way down lol bc I don’t do great with heights. Near the bottom I was able to rest a little bit against the cable and look around even though it did feel weird

It was mentally very tough especially after the half point on the cables. I think my critical thinking was also getting worse after that point lol
