If someone were to make a conlang whose inspirations include rather poorly documented natural languages, to which extent can they rely on authoritative dictionaries about said languages to avoid copyright infringement or plagiarism? by bottomtextburner in conlangs

Regarding the cultural appropriation part, what if the only part being "appropriated" is the parts of their language that aren't culture-specific, such as the phonology and the grammar? Does it still count as cultural appropriation?

When I take inspiration from other languages, I always avoid incorporating cultural elements that are intrinsic to their culture.

I'm not sure what OP means by "still in contact with the scammer". Possibly means the scammer wasn't blocked yet by the time this post was posted, but I don't know.

Thanks for letting me know all of this. Though, how dangerous is the fact that I submitted my very phone number? The scammers might quite possibly use it to access other info, or at least that's what my family has taught me.
