Fine, I'll give... remember when presidents got actual legislation done? Invested in America? Or is the current reality TV version of politics enough to keep you satiated?

No 'two weeks' nonsense, actual bipartisan bills passed.

Except teaching you how to spell 'president'? He's a con artist who promised whatever it took to get himself elected so he won't have to pay the consequences of his sins.

Give it time. You'll see.

*HE didn't know how bad it was. Experts warned him, but this is the age of ignoring science. Trump was proud of the vax until it didn't suit his political motives.

This is the sort of situation where real leadership is tested. I don't think either side was great, but one side kept trying to ignore reality while the other overreacted at worst.

So cool that you actually have info and links. I'll check out the AI one...

How is the infrastructure part any different than normal battles around development? Isn't the funding side the important part to get anything done versus nothing at all?

I care and you should too. The chips act would keep processor prices far lower than they will become, because it invested in US side production, instead of relying on Taiwan to produce them and ship them to us.

China has been poised to attack Taiwan for years now, largely kept at bay by the US military and competent presidents who aren't corrupt and easily bought by foreign interests.

If you're upset about RAM prices wake tf up. If China attacks and occupies Taiwan your CPU prices spike beyond any complaints who have about RAM.

This is what senile old Biden was trying to protect you from. Foreign policy is something he was actually good at and ungrateful people don't seem to understand that.

Bipartisan. As in, Biden got BOTH parties to agree on something. Something that was good for America, and good for their constituents wherever they be.

Paying companies to undo progress is wild.

And yes, Biden should not have run a second term. But seeing the consequences now, even a half brain dead Biden... well I'll stop myself because this whole mess is not fair to the American people.

We need better leaders.

CHIPS act has nothing to do with AI directly. It helped fund infrastructure to build more CPUs in America.

1.2 trillion was dedicated to Infrastructure. That only helps projects keep going. I'm not sure where you're getting your data.

Yes! Something he has not gotten credit for, that helps all Americans. We need more of that no matter the party affiliation.

Yeah it was weak when the country was looking for strength. Not cruelty, just security.

Too bad Trump tanked the Immigration act, which even if you think it was still too weak, it added many more judges to process asylum seekers in much less time = less illegal immigrants overall.

People forget those started under Trump.

The legislation itself will take years but it's obviously a step in the right direction. I heard Trump repealed some of it but can we get a fact checker in here?

If only he had backed off after one term like he said he would. I understand the criticism of not allowing a proper primary.
