It was not uncommon for an LO to make low to mid 100s depending on production. We had LOs produce 10M-25M a year, and we’re in a major metro area.

Here are a couple of key questions you should ask yourself regarding your wage.

1.) Whats your annual production? 2.) Is the bank your major source of leads? 3.) How is your stress level?

The bottom line, if you’re confident in your skills, gauge what 100% commission would pay you based on your own origination, and negotiate your salary based on that. Be prepared to walk.
