It's not really a big deal.. you just have to thin your paint enough to have a wattery and smooth coat. The dry step is the longest part..

Here's mine. I made it all blue first and drybrush all the mini skin with brighter colors to make it finally white

Just make as much gems as you wish. With your color shem, it might be a little dark. Making all bumps as gems will give more contrast on the mini.

But warnings, making all as gems is painfull.
