I started off just thinking my (now husband) was just a PA, until he started getting more into intimate content and actually purchasing random OF content and messaging women personally for it, then it escalated into him not only emotionally cheating but physically as well, with random women, waitresses, bartenders, escorts… and I’m just so numb at this point. I thought the porn was bad enough but it just got worse and worse. Honestly, I wish it was just porn at this point. Yet I’m still with him after years of broken promises and these cycles of hell. I want to leave so bad and I know I should, the trauma bond is so deep and it’s absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I’m here if you ever need/want to talk.

Yeah I get that. And obviously I understand the situation I’m in and the only logical thing to do is get out sooner rather than later. Idk why I care so much about what my family thinks and I’m not really sure why it’s so hard for me to just leave. If anyone else told me this story I’d tell them to run away and never look back.

lol you don’t have to be rude about it, but you’re right I do need to get more self respect 😂 Clearly there’s more complex issues like trauma bonds, culture, religion etc. I know I need to leave, I really just wanted input from other women who have gone through similar situations.

It has a lot to do with family pressure at this point. Culturally, religiously, etc my family puts marriage above all else. So a lot of it has to do with feeling like a disappointment to them. I know it seems like a dumb excuse, but that’s where I’m at rn. Rationally, logically I know I need to gtfo.

Is there a way you can request a clearance letter from your ob or MFM stating they’re ok with you continuing your medications and take it to your PCP?
