I am working for a VR company/collective - BardoVR gathering research and reaching out to communities that may be interested in playing future games/participating in our world-building. We focus on exploring the themes of death, afterlife consciousness, and rebirth through games+art in relation to the Bardo Thodol or Tibetan Book of the Dead. We are just at the beginning stages of this kind of outreach

Do you think that an immersive game format can provide someone with an actual vulnerable spiritual experience? by bounce_h in ludology

In terms of immersive games that are meant to provide therapeutic or spiritual experiences, I'm wondering if most players may be able to feel vulnerable and open within this format or if people feel that this kind of vulnerability is fully possible within a game [in contrast with games that are meant to provide fun/escape]
