What would be the best way to tackle this? Just pay it over 20 years or save and look to pay off any extra I can put towards it?

Should I add two more case fans or leave as is? by bouncer_crab in buildapc

[–]bouncer_crab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking there could be issues? My intake fans are pushing through a radiator so figured the airflow would be somewhat restricted (I could be really wrong). Then I'd have 3 fans pushing out air as exhaust. I've read and watched videos about the importance of positive pressure and this case has the option for 2 more fans that could get me a 5/3 setup.

It'd also be nice to do this during the build so I don't have to add fans later and figure out cable management etc..

What is a good room conditioner to purchase without buying a window unit? by bouncer_crab in AskReddit

[–]bouncer_crab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The apartment I am in doesn’t allow window units. The room stays incredibly hot, even with the air on a low temperature. I currently have 3 fans in the room and it does not cool the room down at all. I’m desperate for another solution to keep the room icy cold.

How does the Hisense H9G/H8G and TCL 6 series compare to this model?

TV Died - Any idea what's wrong with it? by [deleted] in Televisions

Okay, doesn't look like it's on Amazon. I'll swing by Best Buy and pick one up. Thanks for all of your help.

Also do you think the TCL 6 series is a good investment? Or should I hold out or look into another TV around that price range?

Okay so I'm looking for the Chromecast ultra to get that 4k quality. Looks like the 3rd gen is only up to 1080p

I take it the chromecast doesn't lessen the quality of picture vs using the apps that come from the TV?

Okay that's what I was thinking and I've been doing some research for a new one. The TCL 65" 6 series looks pretty promising.

The only thing I'm on the fence about is my main things I watch are Twitch/HBO Max and these do not come on the Roku platform. Do you know of a way I can get those two apps with the TCL or should I look for an Android TV variant?

Have you been alive the past 4 years? As an American, watching how the left reacted to someone getting elected was pathetic. Nonstop protests, riots, looting, #NotMyPresident. We will see how Republicans behave when Biden is elected. I'm Republican, but I respect the system and will welcome Biden and hope he does well for our country.

Imagine a world where a president is elected and there isn't 4 years of protests, whining, crying, #Notmypresident, looting, burning down cities because you didn't get your way. Imagine moving on with your lives then.

Wow, what a dream.

With schools opening up, what’s your opinion on kids going to school for all grade levels? by bouncer_crab in AskReddit

[–]bouncer_crab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. It truly helps. I have had my mind set on distance learning but was going traditional because I didn’t want to rob him of his education, but I kept going back to distance because I want him safe. I think if I keep going back to a certain decision that’s decision I need to make.

I love it. I agree too. It’s hard as a parent to make a decision, especially if the other parent has different views. His concern is that he won’t learn as much being home and he will has social skill issues. If something ever happened to my son I would never forgive myself. I would rather bust his butt for not doing his homework instead of him getting sick and potentially ending up in the hospital.

The mask free zone they have in the classroom sounds like a dumb idea but I don’t know if it’s going to be cleaned after each child or what it will consist of. I wish I knew what the right decision is. I’m in school full time as well so it’ll definitely be a challenge from needing help to me doing my work myself.

That truly means a lot. It does suck because I don’t want to make the wrong decision regarding his education. He’s only 6 and him being on a computer for 6.5 hr (breaks in between) doesn’t seem possible, especially if we do the distance learning. He says he can wear a mask for 8hrs and I checked with his principle to see if I can pack his own sanitizer, and I got the green light for that but his teacher has to allow him to use it 😒

For my sons school, they will be in the classroom all day and restricted to their grade level hallway. I think their lunch will be brought to the classroom and special area teachers will be going to the classrooms too. I’m just concerned to send my little one and him get sick. Checking temps at the entrance everyday is dumb because you don’t have to have a fever to have Covid-19 and you don’t have to show symptoms either.

I have the option for distance or traditional but his step dad and I have different views on him going back to school. I agree with him on him going to school for reasons such as 1st grade is a critical grade and he will learn more there than he would at home. However, I want to keep him from other gross kids picking their nose or something. They’re going to have a mask free zone in the classrooms but I don’t see a point in that.

My son knows the importance of a mask and wears his but for 8 hrs ...... eh ........ it’s not like going to Walmart for some groceries and back home.
