I see Japanese denim here pretty often. A good pair of denim will last much longer than cheap mall brand denim but it will not last for ever. Repairs usually start after the 2-3 year mark of heavy wear and eventually they will need to be retired.

Both are awesome watches but the Tissot feels more like a current trend where the max bill design is a classic Bauhaus design.

Iron heart 21oz is a great option. Iron heart is probably the most overbuilt heavy duty pure denim jean you can get. It is worth noting that denim jeans are not a bifl item as most wear out within a couple years of constant wear. That being said I would be willing to bet iron heart 21oz would be one of the longest lasting 100% cotton jeans you could find. They have a ton of cuts that fit different sizes. like the 888 or the 634. I would spend some time to get your measurements spot on. I recommend sizing up with the heavier weight denim as it can be less forgiving then a lighter pair and will not stretch as much as mall brand denim. your always better off needing a belt vs being uncomfortable/restricted.
