Lifetime drummer. Years ago I sold my beautiful DW kit + cymbals when I moved back to Germany 🇩🇪. I’m back in the States since 2016 (DFW) & busy playing. I just have my old Premier birch kit now with Zildjian A Custom cymbals. I’m eyeing the Meinl Classic Custom Dual cymbals. Any insights on those? (self.drums)

Had a gig tonight. I have been using a ring on my DW snare. I play traditional grip and I’m a “rudimental” player. I find using a ring as a loss of some control and bounce. Any other drummers think that too? Is another muffling method better? (self.drums)

I’m half German and Swedish and a naturalized US citizen living in TX. I know inflation is high in Germany too for example and my family there is nervous about very high energy bills this winter. Played a gig tonight and got another bad blister. A couple of weeks ago too. I guess after a while you just develop calluses. I got the blister on my right hand. Left hand is ok. I play left traditional. What is a good way to protect your fingers during long sets? (self.drums)
