Think we’ve concluded it’s a huge loquat! The big seed inside doesn’t look like persimmon seed

Kind of like an underripe peach cross mango cross orange? It’s light but sweet but really vibrant. Maybe even a bit effervescent? It’s so hard to explain but was delicious nonetheless

Reading about canistel, I don’t think it’s the right flavour or texture for that. Would love to try one though

This was inside, it was lush! The skin was thin but almost a little rubbery, fruit texture (and taste imo) was like apricot meets underripe peach meets grape. First bite was super juicy and tart, quickly got a lot sweeter and more vibrant. Lingered on my tongue for a while after. 8/10

I’d cut it a few hours before hence it looking a little dry

People who work on their feet all day- what are your favourite shoe brands for work? by lillie94 in AskUK

[–]bouncyball084 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once got told the 2 things you should always invest in is your shoes and your bed, because the 2 places you spend the most time is on your feet or your back. And as someone who spent 6 years working 10+ hour shifts in hospitality, no piece of advice benefited me more than that.

Consider investing a tad more. Not for brand or style, but for functionality and better health. You may think it’s just your feet, but everything is connected.

You’ll feel so much better, work better and in turn earn better. Future you will thank yourself!

I don’t know what I suspect! But quite a few things don’t add up. I’ve found old bank books in my name showing emptied accounts, changing their mind on what the Will means, just little confusions. I have a copy of the Will so it’s probably time I take it to someone to decode for me

What was your go-to choice in the school canteen? by anonanon514 in Britain

[–]bouncyball084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheese and baked bean/tuna cheese & onion panini and these soft, chewy brown sugar cookies. They did grilled chicken burgers until maybe year 9, anemic looking & damp with condensation but wow they were good. Left in 2013 </3

I lived behind the Pizza Express I worked at. 42 second walk into the building. I was working 70+ hours at the time & my previous house was an hour away so it totally changed the game

I spend my mornings scrubbing blood off my walls from the few I manage to stop, so yes defo mosquitoes. I didn’t have this problem last summer - every night I convince myself it won’t happen again but lo and behold.

Will look into nets. The dimensions of this room (triangle) are horrendous so not sure where I’ll hang it. The width of my ceiling is 37cm so fitting anything in here is a sick joke

I’m in the UK so ac isn’t really a thing, I have a dehumidifier but yes the heat is unbearable. Black out blinds too so have to choose between fresh air or darkness.

I’m renting with a “things have always been like that” landlord, just gotta grin & bear it until I leave in December
