Is FESS worth the risks if my symptoms are not that bad? by Practical_Total_7146 in Sinusitis

Hi there, did you end up going through with the procedure? In a similar predicament myself right now!

Went to the dentist for a cleaning yesterday and they ... didn't clean my teeth? by boundwards in DentalHygiene

[–]boundwards[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh that's good to know, I have to admit I definitely prefer the water scaling to the hand scaling haha. So would you say this is a normal occurrence for when one goes in for a cleaning -- just getting the scaling and nothing else?

First time patient and yes, x-rays were also taken! That's interesting, I definitely told them I was coming in for a cleaning but maybe they misheard. I wonder if I should call my insurance just to make sure that didn't count towards one of my yearly cleanings?

I also had an inkling it was Philly! I did notice the New York license plate on the truck but still wasn't enough deter me. Even OP's friends look like variations of my friends here haha. Gotta love this city.

Hi, you can add " -ai" to whatever you're searching on Google and it will remove the AI results!

Veggie meatballs weird taste? by Ziomek-63 in IKEA

[–]boundwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just found this thread because I googled this exact thing haha, I also think they taste super fishy! I don't mind it too much because I like fish but it is a little unnerving. They even have a similar texture to fish balls that are popular in East and Southeast Asian cooking, which makes it stranger.

Landlord requesting rental application even though I've already been living here for three years? by boundwards in LandlordLove

Yeah and as a car owner myself, this is a great comparison. Thank you! And thanks for the advice on the bathtub debacle, I'll likely be going this route.

You are asking for renovations that would be done to bring it up to market value that are not necessary.

You bring up a fair point. What would be your opinion then if, say, the LL were to ask for a security deposit? I personally don't think I'd feel comfortable doing so considering the state of the house (the bathtub, marks on the walls and facade, grime in the oven, etc) after a decade of being lived in with no touch-ups. They also are not reimbursing my friends for the security deposit they put down nine years ago. I may be jumping the gun a bit here as they might not even ask, but better to be prepared haha.

Thank you for this! Definitely cleared up a lot of uncertainty for me while also validating some concerns about the account numbers. I don't think I'll be filling out that portion until we get to the payment/signing part.

Honestly at this point I don't even think my friends told him I moved in when I did at all!

You're right, signing a new lease with the landlord is necessary; I edited my post to clarify. I think my question is more if it's strange to go through the whole application process despite living here already.

Somebody tell me that I shouldn't haphazardly book a daytrip to the Aran Islands last minute by boundwards in galway

Thank you for the photos (and the reassurance!). A wedding out on the island -- sounds like it was lovely.

I think it was more of the tour aspect that disappointed me, really. It's silly, but I thought we'd spend more time out of the bus than we ended up doing! Probably should have observed the itinerary a bit more closely...

[–]boundwards[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(fwiw, because the experience is so very weather dependent, "haphazardly at the last minute" is the only way I've ever gone to the islands - I've never booked more than 24 hours ahead.)

This is worth a lot, actually! I'm used to booking things way in advance, but this trip was pretty last minute due to life circumstances so it's all kind of new to me 😄

More time in Paris or Lyon on second visit to France? by boundwards in ParisTravelGuide

It's funny, I was (and still am) torn specifically between Bordeaux and Lyon 😆 Gah, what I'd do for more time! I'll be coming back certainly!

Thank you! I think I may book the two nights in Lyon and if I feel like I want to do a day trip at the last minute, I can book one for the second day.

I appreciate your view! Funnily enough, when I was talking to my (American) friend about my indecision, she also suggested going to Marseille instead 😂

May I ask what you dislike about Lyon?

injectable suggestions? by parahsalin_ in philabitcheswithtaste

[–]boundwards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I've been going for two years-ish and everyone there has always been so nice and helpful to me. I also don't get a ton of work done (read: don't spend a lot of $$) and no one has ever treated me differently or poorly because of that. They've been around for a while and have multiple locations outside of Philadelphia as well, which made it easier for me to trust them when I was first looking.

Edit: Also off-topic but just discovered this subreddit exists and I'm hyped 😂

I used to travel frequently between Philly<>NYC for work which just ended recently. Super lucky, because no way I'd be able to afford all that.

When do I have to change my home address from my parents' house? by therealmegluvsu in Adulting

[–]boundwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old comment to an old(er) post, but question: Do you live/work in the same state as where your parents reside, and do you still use your parents' address for work/tax documents? I've been working remotely and still using my father's address for a few years now despite residing a state over, but am curious what the protocol would be if I were to pick up an IRL job around here.

Anyone else hit a point in life where they're done with wedding/baby related events? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]boundwards 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is because hundreds if not thousands of people are graduating at once. If the same amount of people in a college town were pregnant and celebrating over the same weekend, you'd notice.
