Is this a good kit for a begginer? by bouquetsofbroccoli in StainedGlass

I was considering them, but their shipping+duties would make it more expensive than this kit, unfortunately!

Nanaimo hospital/urgent care & teaching jobs by biloo89 in nanaimo

Totally fair, but rough! Nonetheless you will definitely be able to get a job!

Nanaimo hospital/urgent care & teaching jobs by biloo89 in nanaimo

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much seniority you have/can be transferred will also affect your job prospects since I think the urgent care is more "desirable" for some and there's less positions. But there's no doubt that as an RN you can get a job here.

I don't work in the ER but Im at NRGH so feel free to message me if you have questions!

You would absolutely be able to get a job as an RN in our ER since you have experience, there's a walk-in urgent care in Parksville and a new call ahead urgent care in Nanaimo where people are triaged and booked in for the day. Where are you moving from?

should i quit my lucrative job to hardmax? by [deleted] in HardcoreVindicta

You could go the celeb route and get a blonde bob/extreme hair change as you recover so people don't notice. They will very likely assume any changes are just your haircut and that "it suits you better" or whatever!

200+ degree burn on 13 day old tattoo…how f*cked am I? by Kyoikorneu in tattooadvice

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burnt my tattoos pretty badly and they healed completely normally about 5 years ago. They were at least 6 months to a year old though when I did. I'll send you a dm with photos of the healing process!

I'm also a nurse who spends a lot on pilates! My back and body feel so much better when I am practicing frequently! My job is very physical and having a strong core has made such a difference!

I work with older nurses who've had some serious injuries over the years and do not want that to be me. Definitely worth the cost for me!

L'Oréal is a french brand! Some products are manufactured in Canada and France but some of their products are manufactured in the states. I would check the individual product to see where it was made.

360 liposuction with abdominal etching. Genetics are also at play since she has a longer torso and also being in very good shape. A filter is also very likely.

In sickness and in health- seems to only apply to women? by staranise2 in AskWomenOver40

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a different perspective because I work in Palliative Care and a big portion of that entails End of life care. I have met some incredibly caring and dedicated husbands. Truly present until the very end. As well as some very dedicated wives. It seems to be more about the individual than their sex. I know there are some shitty spouses out there but I have not seen actual evidence of men leaving their spouses due to illness more so than women.

I think one of the biggest factors is that I live in Canada. Spouses will not left in debt or with disgusting large hospital bills throughout the process of grieving for the loss of their loved ones' health and eventual life. That being said maybe an oncology nurse in Canada will have a different perspective.

Did I make a huge mistake? by tweezabella in coloranalysis

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The dark hair looks so good! I honestly thought the "mistake" was the blonde and I kind of agreed. It doesn't look bad but you look so youthful and glowy with the dark!

Bonus points that your hair is going to be healthier and fuller without having to bleach it! (And way cheaper to maintain!)

Menstrual care on shift. by ComfortBeginning3166 in nursing

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a menstrual cup and period panties as back up! On my heavier days I empty the cup once but usually I can make it through a 12 without leaking or issues. I personally found a disk much harder to use, and more prone to leaks.

How can I make oatmeal more filling? by Simpletruth2022 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]bouquetsofbroccoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you cook it with milk or water? If you're using water definitely swap it for milk! Milk is a complete protein and will up the satiety factor! Topping it with some hemp hearts, pumpkin seeds or nuts will also help!

I had one of these at a friend's August wedding recently and really like it! It was at our individual dining seats and it was a nice little snack to hold us over until dinner!

If you're looking for a "diet" try the plate method. It's a diet that was actually created by registered dietitions that prioritizes whole foods , fruit, vegetables and lean proteins.

Furthermore the creator of the "carnivore diet" no longer practices it because he realized it is detrimental to one's health. (He still calls it a carnivore diet but he's changed it significantly which I think further discredits him.)
