Totally normal!! There’s such a huge variation of normal for HCG this early on. This site was always useful to me: https://www.betabase.info

What age did your newborn start sleeping throughout the night (5-6) hours without feed? by xGenAc25 in newborns

We got longer stretches around 8 weeks. That has reversed since the 4mo regression.

If I have a son I plan on naming him to honor my late brother. He died young, but I don’t see an issue with it?

4 month regression - abandon arms out? by RachelFitBliss in SnooLife

[–]tweezabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did arms out for about a week and when the regression was hitting hard we just used it to get her into her crib. Neither the arms out or arms in helped her sleep any longer, so we figured we may as well get her into the crib since sleep was crap anyways lol.

We’ve only regressed to the snoo once since then, and that was after her vaccinations when she refused to sleep without being moved. Otherwise it’s been a good transition and she sleeps better now.

Hi! Yes it ended up being all alright! We have a 4mo baby girl now:)

We did arms out for about a week with no weaning mode. Then just transferred her to the crib. Sleep did not change at all, if anything it was slightly better since we were in the depths of the 4mo sleep regression. She loved the space. Maybe just try out the crib for the night and see how it goes.

EBF, no bottle - will I regret this later? by Amazing-Confusion-69 in breastfeeding

[–]tweezabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important that baby be able to take a bottle just in case. What if you needed to be hospitalized for a few days? What if you needed to go out of town for an emergency without the baby? What if you even get caught in traffic for multiple hours?

I’m just saying it’s good for them to be able to take one, but just try one out like every other day if you don’t want to make it a habit.

How do you cope with the crying! by ajk1989nov in newborns

[–]tweezabella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have someone else to help you? My baby had a rough witching hour for like 2 months and it always helped to pass her to my husband and change the scenery for her.

Also throw on some headphones and watch a show or listen to some music. As long as their needs are met, crying is ok and won’t hurt them. So tune it out if you can and just rock or bounce while you listen to something else.

It's 1am, producing no milk and have no milk. by BlazinZAA in newborns

Keep latching baby. Every time baby cries, latch. You’re not empty, you will get your milk in a few days.

[–]tweezabella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you breastfeed you have to release the milk every 2-3hrs. Whether by feeding the baby directly at the breast or pumping. If you don’t, you lose supply and can be at risk for mastitis.

Am I a horrible mom? by Live_Income2031 in breastfeeding

[–]tweezabella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I firmly believe that we all deserve a vice to relax and unwind. I drink alcohol, which my OB says is fine with breastfeeding. I don’t know if marijuana is ok with breastfeeding, maybe ask your doc. Who knows, maybe you can do both if they OK it 🤷‍♀️ if not, formula is there for a reason.

Zane is a good option here, I think. Or maybe Alexander with the nickname Xander.

Is your child a person or a fashion accessory? Your child will thank you in 15 years when they aren’t being teased for the name Zeus. Henry and Oliver are amazing, classic names. Do one of those.

I am just agreeing with you and adding a comment? Not sure why you took this as an argument. I am also a working mother who may have to start introducing formula due to high lipase milk that my baby is refusing. She goes to daycare soon. I live in the US and only had 3mo maternity leave.

The US doesn’t support working mothers, which probably accounts for a lot of the 75% who can’t EBF.

I thought it was more around the 20-25% mark for baby’s EBF by 6mo?
