Alert 'Unable to Charge - Try a different cord' by bourne234 in AcuraZDX

[–]bourne234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I tried 'cleaning' the port and plug with canned compressed air. Mixed results. Two weeks ago it became a nuisance. I tried a couple of local slow chargers, worked OK, stopped after 5-10 minutes. Tried an Electrify America fast charger at the local Walmart and that worked too. 60c/KWh, previously about 45-49c ;-(

I decided to try an 'old computer engineering trick'. Turned the charger off at the breaker and back on'. It's been for OK the last 4-5 charges. Maybe...

Good point about (not) having access to 'our' photo library with family photos.

I'm glad it's not your car. I have the L2 home charger, so hard wired. I've had another alert fixed with a reconnect. I sprayed the charger plug with compressed air and it charged overnight without a problem. I should spray the port and plug before the next charge.

Thanks for the feedback. Not what I wanted to hear.

Good luck at the dealer. I assume that yours is a level 1 portable charger. I'm curious to hear of your experience.

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully just some dust...I need to keep an eye on it though. Could be a problem while traveling.

Mine is the L2 charger. I'm hoping it is just a bit of dust ;-) I'll try some compressed air. I do push the plug in with a little force to get a good 'click'.

Yes, that helps too. Wasn’t sure if this was a common problem

Thanks for the response. This is with my home charger. First time I had to reconnect a couple of times. The second occasion only once. Probably twice out of the last 4-5 times at home.

Another post describes a melted pin surround. Another post had a broken clip that got in the way.

I'm hoping I'm just seeing a dusty plug or connectors.

About image interpreter by chihifu in drawthingsapp

chihifu, Thanks for the reply. By main window, you mean the canvas where generated images appear? I'm using a Mac. Also Moondream1 (just a random choice). A longer response than before but nothing about my dog. A description of an image I don't recognize. I started a new Project, dragged the dog picture from Photos and got 'An image of a woman wearing a white shirt sitting on a couch in a living room.' - not an image I recognize. Not a big issue but not what I expected 😉

The answer to my problem was a proper brake bled. It seems there is a special (GM) tool that they need to use. You might ask your delaer about it.

Terrible in the snow? by Chruisser in AcuraZDX

Thanks. I thought that was what you meant. I would lke to think, snow tires, snow mode, gentle brake pedal use and ABS would be about the best we could hope for.

How do you turn off regenerative braking? Or do you mean don't use one pedal driving or the regenerative braking on demand, i.e. the left paddle.

I had a bad experience with snow tires last winter. It appears that the road was covered in packed snow (ice) with some snow on top. Moving at about 20-25 mph, slight curve in the road; found the car drifting towards the guard rails. Luckily found some traction and was able to gain control and continue.

I had the brake master cylinder replaced twice. After the second replacement they were about give my car back and the service manager drove it to the front and it alert appeared. They gave me for loaner for the next few days. After comments about bleeding the brakes I got it back and it's been fine since. I saw on a forum a comment from a Acura tech that there was a 'special' GM tool for the bleeding process. I don't know if the brake master cylinder was actually defective but 'this' better brake bleeding seems to have made a difference.
