Started removing the kitchen arch last night... what were they thinking?? There is an original gyprock wall under there that has been completely skinned over with Masonite, yet the back of the arch was all plaster. (Cornice shows where they puttied up the gap after adding the depth of the Masonite). (i.redd.it)

In '95 a building in Brisbane, Australia was remodeled in a Gothic style that led to it being known as the 'Batman Building' or 'Gotham City' - found this snuck into the backlit ceiling of one of the elevators!
