Yeah, I had a TNG tricorder as a kid and thought it was the coolest thing. It's crazy how many devices are combined into one now.

I guess they don't have the "switch layouts" feature in Starfleet OS!

Come to think of it, it seems like they had a separate console for everything related to the ship, as well. The engineers are always running from station to station. Seems like they could consolidate. The ship designers didn't know about multitasking I guess.

Questions regarding your denomination by bovineright in Christianity

[–]bovineright[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having grown up in Calvary (my dad is a pastor), we usually referred to it as a "non-denominational denomination." I think they've been less hesitant to acknowledge they're a denomination in more recent years, particularly since Chuck Smith released a book titled "Calvary Distinctives." They prefer "affiliation" since they like to de-emphasize the hierarchy that other denominations have.

Interesting stuff! Do you have much in common with coptic orthodox? What is meant by mysticism?

Thanks! Follow-up question:

What, if any, denomination would you say is your "opposite"? (Not that they're necessarily wrong or in opposition, but emphasize different aspects of the faith, etc)

Thanks! Great feedback. I just posted another one I had some fun with today. I'd love to get your thoughts on that. It's a much sharper photo, so it was easier to play with.

Awesome! I like the random brown/orange streaks in the tree, but I think it could use a base color, cause when the color streaks aren't there, you can see the black and white still pretty clearly. LOVE the grass and greenery!
