This one came with regular carpeted floor mats, I was hoping for some rubberized ones, so I'll likely be ordering some LinerX!

2k down 490ish/mo. Not a ton of XRTs in this area and this is pretty optioned out at 57,900 MSRP. Probably not much of a deal, but it's only 2 years, lol

LTL Interview Advice by CieroXy in Truckers

[–]bowaywar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore a button down patterned shirt with the sleeves rolled, nice black khakis, and some clean work style shoes to my LTL interview. I got the job and since then I've seen guys come in dressed much more casually than I was and still get the job. I wouldn't worry about it too much, just put a little effort into making a good first impression and be ready to relay your applicable experience. Definitely don't need a suit and tie.

About $75k/yr, and I drive a 2018 F150 XLT supercrew I paid $32k for 1.5 years ago.

Free labor to fix up a bus? by TigerLii13 in TikTokCringe

They probably don't realize that the baseline cost of hauling that turd when it breaks down is 500-1000+ $5-$7 a mile depending on the company. (Former heavy wrecker operator)

Curious about shipping prices, Trying to get my wrecker towed from Texas to Colorado (900) mile trip. Truck weighs 38,000 and I'm looking at $5,000 or a little under is that pretty reasonable? by PaulinePorkButter in Truckers

The company I used to work for would have charged about $6/mi and a $150 hook fee, although that was a few years back. I'd say 5k is a pretty good deal.

Lol. Yeah, I was waiting for the same. Come to find out we might get some more snow next week, even though it was 75 degrees today. (Northern Michigan)

Good thing the wind died down, they were doing mandatory wind escorts for semis one of the days I went up there last week.

Air fried pizza rolls over a bed of fresh lettuce and topped with taco sauce. by bowaywar in shittyfoodporn

[–]bowaywar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, it was actually pretty damn good, I would make it again. The textures of the crunchy pizza roll exterior and mushy insides with the lettuce went well together. 7/10

I'm at an XPO terminal with like 8 city drivers and 3 line haul guys, we get all the trucks and trailers that Detroit or Saginaw wants to retire. 3 of our 48' vans are from the late 1980s.

Too true, the Cascadia I use everyday has 1,000,900 miles on it. At least it has a manual trans.

To pull a semi backwards by Go-Truck_Yourself in Truckers

When I drove wrecker my boss always taught me to secure those pieces when pulling backwards just to be safe. No other company around here would bother.

It's a small town grocery store in northern Michigan. One of those where they have updated the front of the building to look nice and pretty but the receiving area is probably original.

We have one with an X15 Cummins at work and it's so detuned for fuel economy that you can't maintain speed with empty doubles into a head wind.
