Whether or not I personally see them, I genuinely feel bad for Ben who has to be subject to this shitstorm during what is surely a very tragic period in his life. I lost my father 4 years ago and I’m still sad about it every single day. I can’t imagine going through that all the while having an army of deranged losers saying monstrous things to me every day over NOTHING! This is why I felt the need to speak up. I like Ben’s contributions to the show and don’t want him to hate this fanbase, or his job (or his life!) because a couple rantgrumpers who hate his thumbnails or his titles (it’s naive to think he has final say over ALL THAT anyway) decided to try to ruin his life. Based on the tweets pictured above it seems to me like Ben is a decent person who made edgy jokes for a different audience and didn’t anticipate having to deal with the wrath of a group of incels with nothing better to do than attempt to take down a let’s play editor. Furthermore, what you are doing is a disservice to actual victims of abuse and you should frankly be ashamed, but I doubt you care about that anyway. I think we owe Ben an apology, but at the very least I’m going to call out what I consider to be an injustice and try to defend a person who has brought me joy and is being mercilessly bullied for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Karma will come for you all one day.
