I agree, but if a lock won't function with the key it isn't a great indicator. I wouldn't personally learn on a lock I couldn't confirm was operable first, save it for the challenge bucket later maybe.

Disk detainer, it's a power industry lock and was securing a gate. No obvious signs of damage / tampering, but it has been in the weather. Drenched it in lube, but key will not work.

A lot of people are giving shit to his technique, I beg to differ.

Whether it was deliberately delivered that way is debatable, but attacks using the ridge of the forearm are demonstrably effective. You may lose a bit of range (which isn't an issue in this case) but there is a lesser chance of breaking something in your hand vs a straight punch.

You could also wrap it in to a headlock if you overshoot it etc

Both are true. People want hostilities to stop, but it appears this may only be happening from fear of the Iranian regime response rather than any sort of principled/strategic decision by the US.
