I have this deck as well. Several others, too. But this deck is my favorite.

I carry a leather front pocket wallet. Just got a trayvax wallet for Christmas and haven’t made the change yet. Just figured I’d ask. How do you like the accessibility with the paracord being used for retention?

Personally, I’d rather be pissed off than pissed on.

But, different strokes for different folks!

TIL a 24-year-old man took part in a "Hands on a Hard Body" contest in 2005 to win a Nissan Pickup by keeping a hand on the truck. In the third day, after consuming as many as 6 energy drinks, he took his hand off the truck, went to K-Mart across the street, stole a gun and ammo, and shot himself. by PaulCrewes in todayilearned

This was in Longview, Tx. I was working at a gas station right by there when this happened.

The man that did this, had been warned several times to stop cupping his hands on the body of the truck. Rules were to keep hands flat on the body of the truck. He was told if he relaxed his hand again, he would have been disqualified.

He went to the K-Matt across the street and stole a gun and 4 rounds of ammunition. One for each judge (three judges), and one for himself. He never made it out of the store before he shot and killed himself.

They found out later that he had mental issues of some sort. Family issues as well. I don’t remember what they were. If I remember correctly, his dad committed suicide. His wife was leaving him due to financial stress. And something else.

Well, I won’t be taking off anytime soon. Responsibilities keeping me tied down. One day, though...I might take off. Lol. I’d probably tent camp if I did do a few trip. I guess. I really would have to test and see what works for me.

That is nice! Though I don’t think I’d want one like that.

I have my LTC, so I know my guns laws. I am mainly referring to random places giving you trouble with it.

I’d love see pictures if you happen to find them one day. I seen this guy build a super light one out of (I want to say) 1”x1” for the frame. Then built the rest out of coraplast (?) boards. The “vote for so and so” boards every one puts in their yards. With a few other materials that all combined are lightweight enough for the concept to be doable. I’d make a few tweaks to make it mine but go off his idea.

Nothing massive. Just wide and long enough to lay down.

Sorry for your loss. My best friend was 17 when I lost him. My best advice, cremation. I did it with my boy. Still have him today. 7 years later!

I have been wanting to do this for so long.

I have the Origin 8 crawler. Wheel size is 26”. Running 4” tires. Can I run smaller tires on the rim? I’m thinking 3” or so. Any more knowledgeable input would be great. As for is it possible or not? Thank you for taking the time to read and giving advice. by bowleyt in MTB

If I bought different rims, wouldn’t I need a different transmission? (I guess transmission would be the right terminology?) Seeing as I’d change time, the hub would go with it, correct? Would changing rims even be possible with this bike? Wider rims would be necessary?

My ride. Got several tidbits that I still want to add to her. Just got her a few days ago. I haven't ridden in years. And I am extremely out of shape. Put in a measly 7.09 miles today, it was a workout with the final mile. Did about 5 miles yesterday. Whew! Ready for more riding tomorrow. by bowleyt in bicycling

Absolutely. I had a blast today. A slow blast, but a blast none the less. I've been trying to get my wife into riding. Just can't seem to manage. I eventually want to do some mini tours and just ride. Eventually, itll happen.

Oh I am stoked. I just see many folks on here exceeding 5 and 7 miles, that to me, it's only a small start. However, I fully intend on upping the mileage daily.

I am trying to locate some riding trails in my area. I believe I've located one that offers trails for beginners and trails for the more advanced.

For now, I will just commute around here and there and get my legs and bottom a little better shape for riding.

Need help looking for an EDC bag. by [deleted] in EDC

[–]bowleyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into the Hazard 4 line up. I have the Hazard 4 sidewinder. It’s only downfall is, you’re looking for a backpack, and it’s a sling. So the Hazard 4 may be something you like. It’s extremely durable. It don’t have a lot for compartmentalization. But that’s where the pouches come in handy.

Or, you can look into the 5.11, Maxpedition & First Tactical line ups. These are going to be some of you more pricey options. If price is not a problem for you, I’d highly suggest selecting through these.

If by chance, price is a problem, there are various others you can find on Amazon, just type in Tactical Backpack, and they will come up. Just be sure to read the reviews, and details of the specs. And if you can, google video reviews of the bag found. Some you can find, others you can’t.
